Logis de la Cadène is located on a small square in the very centre of the medieval town. With its steep cobbled street, its old golden stone facade and its wisteria arbour, this is a lovely, quiet haven ideal for relaxed enjoyment. The shady terrace and t
Really impressed with our dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. So creative and delicious. I had the Quail fabulous and my husband ...veal. so many creative starters...oysters, shrimp with caviar, Mackerel...and little canopies with smoked salmon...all so delicious. The parade of desserts were wonderful. Wonderful and friendly servers and staff.Only negative is I would have preferred if the light was dimmed...too bright for me...Dear customer,Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a nice review. We had cappuccinos on the terrace. Amazing view, and the service and hospitality incredible. I am dairy free and the almond milk cappuccino was fantastic. I travel the world and get dairy free cappuccinos wherever I can (where it's possible anyway) and this was by far the best, so tasty! To top it off with nice and great service, and an incredible view. Can't do any better than that!Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Sundays so we could not enjoy that. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely come back!Dear 748rayn,We thank you for your nice comment. We are glad to know that you highly appreciate our almond milk cappucino. We always pay attention to allergies and dietary restrictions of our guest. We look forward to welcome you next time to the restaurant !Best Regards,Mylène GelinAttachée de Direction

Driving to the Dordogne, we found this inviting restaurant totally by chance in a small town outside Liborne. The hostess welcomed us into the light, airy dining room and the chef presented us with a delicious meal. The offerings were original-- we began with a salad topped with sautéed baby calamari and followed with grilled merlu topped with chorizo and a piquillo sauce--perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Desserts were tempting, especially the profiteroles we saw at the next table, but we settled for sorbets. The restaurant is simple but stylish with a well-chosen menu and excellent presentation. As our visit was on a Sunday, there were several families enjoying lunch together and pets are welcome (a handsome Rotweiller slept on the floor beside us).

Réouverture du Café Bar Hôtel Restaurant Le Bon Duc . Changement de propriétaire, nouvelle équipe pour vous servir des plats préparés maison avec uniquement des produits frais.
St Emilion was full of people, Pomerol empty, and it was raining. Serendipity brought us to the Bon Duc - a Logis de France. A warm smiling welcome, clean and smart table, and attractive simple menu was just what we wanted for Sunday lunch for 4. We were delighted with our 'menu' (18 Euros on Sunday, cheaper also available through the week) and pleased with the service. Chevre croustillant, generous mussels, superb carpaccio all stand out. Not a bad choice to be had - and don't miss the Cafe Gourmand for dessert: 4 delicious sample desserts with a small black coffee. We look forwards to our next visit.

We had lunch here last week. Arrived in Lycra, very friendly welcome and service, excellent location, and very good food. The menu offers good choice, the wine list offers a taste to suit, and the price was affordable taking into account how close to St Emilion it is! There were several menus and suggestions of the day.We will certainly go back and will recommend to others.

Five middle-aged Brits on a university reunion for Sunday lunch had a fantastic meal. Innovative and interesting menu, as you would expect a great choice of wines - some of the vineyards are in walking distance. Lovely and thoughtful service e.g. unexpectedly offering the menu in English. We didnât hold back on either the food or drinks but still kept the bill under â¬100 per head. I have never been one for taking pictures of my food, but I captured every course as each was just delightful. They tasted as good as they looked too. Highly recommended.

We ate at the Saillans following a recommendation from a local. The setting is absolutely perfect: quiet village, lovely shaded terrace, welcoming hosts. The table dâhôte is fresh, varied and of great quality at a reasonable price. My cold beet soup was incredible. Presentation was wonderful. Many wines from the region to enjoy. If I lived in the area, I would probably eat at this restaurant every week!

Dominant le vignoble de Montagne Saint-Emilion, un univers alliant une cuisine traditionnelle du terroir, une gastronomie creative et elegante . Terrasse ombragee, Restaurant Gastronomique, Bistro et Gastronomie a emporter
We were lucky enough to visit Le Clos Mirande with friends who live locally. From the pre-dinner drinks overlooking the beautiful countryside to the delicious three course meal, everything was delightful. Our young waiter was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. The whole evening was perfect. Congratulations!

Our waitress wasn't having the best evening and seemed surprised by a request for Calvados, which was on the menu but not available from the bar, and I ended up with Armagnac instead. Alas. Otherwise, things went well for us and a fairly large number of diners enjoying a balmy summer evening overlooking an empty runway, many of whom appeared to be regulars. We both had scallops (Saint-Jacques); hers was part of a set menu (appetizer through dessert), but mine was a single plate because it only came that way and I decided not to order anything else. That worked out well, as her other dishes were enough to share â even dessert. The food, service, and setting were all very good â not exceptional perhaps, but reliable.

A neighbour recommended this restaurant - and it is fabulous. Do not be fooled by the location (next to a duel carriage way), or think it is just another roadside café..Park around the back in their car park and enter a restaurant 'par excellence'. It was faultless. Opting for the tranquil and shaded courtyard setting on a sunny lunchtime rather than inside, we enjoyed a fixed price menu at 29â¬, although there is a plat de jour for 19.50⬠or a la carte if desired. It is not cheap but the quality is superb, the staff very courteous and attentive, and the food delicious, as was the wine. What a great place.
