A delightfully situated restaurant which serves amazingly excellent food. The chef/owner is French and his menu offers several tapas dishes and half a dozen each of entrees and mains. The oysters are only offered if they are of acceptable quality and the breads are great. The chefâs wife waits at tables with a wonderfully friendly and helpful manner and she knows the wines expertly. This place is an absolute gem.

Really enjoyed my lunch here at Tillermans. After a leisurely ferry ride over from Nelson Bay itâs a short 5 minute walk along the waterfront to the restaurant. Itâs an interesting eclectic decor with friendly staff and a lovely simple menu. Interesting beers and wine with French champagne on offer. We had a number of smaller dishes and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The stand out was the goats cheese soufflé. Everything a delicate soufflé should be.... delicious. I noticed some regular diners enjoying the set menu. It was also a nicely done 3 course meal with a glass of house wine for around $35. I highly recommend taking the trip to Tillermans.

Thanks to the Giannis team and especially Daniel for a great night. Even though we had a mix with our booking - of 20 - the Giannis team made it work. Excellent food with a great local, happy vibe.
