Discover Restaurants offering the best European food in Cork, Province of Munster, Ireland. Plan to cross many bridges when in Cork. Ireland's third-largest city began life as an island and now spans both banks of the River Lee, with watery channels running beneath some of its main thoroughfares. The best way to experience this hilly southern seaport is on foot, following the signposted walking tour past St. Finn Barre's Cathedral and the riverside quadrangle of University College up the hill to red and white Shandon Church. Along the way, you'll meet plenty of the city's talkative residents.

We serve exciting food with bold flavours in the heart of the city. Open from 8am, 6 days per week. We serve our own roast of coffee and an ever changing menu, amazing pastries, an exciting wine list and beers from our own brewery.
Expect to wait as the restaurant is very small and they donât take reservations, in our case the wait wasnât long at all though. Ordered the halloumi with pickled veg (nice) and the sfeehas (fabulous! Packed with flavor and good size) for starters. I had the lamb for a main and it was absolutely massive, certainly enough meat for 2 people, I think it would be better if the portion was smaller. It was cooked perfectly and the fresh mint added a refreshing note to the rich meat. The cous cous was perfect with the meat. My husband ordered the beef skewers which were cooked very well and he ordered a side of sweet potatoes and side of broccoli which were also good. We did think that the beef is a bit overpriced, it should really include one side with the meat for the price, especially compared to the lamb which included a side. Overall a lovely meal and were very happy with. Great flavors all around and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Overall the food was good and tasty. Some parts were delicious (mushrooms, onions, filet) others were ok or we expected something different (potatos with balsamico dressing. there was almost no balsamico on it. The meat of my partner was medium, not medium rare.) It is also very nice, that they bring you a bottle of water directly to your table at the beginning. Thanks

Over the years Bull McCabe's on the Airport Road, Cork has built an enviable reputation for the quality of its good, wholesome food served in a warm traditional atmosphere. We count ourselves particularly lucky to have some of the finest foods on our door
I found this pub/restaurant totally by accident. I had been travelling, with my two dogs, in a camper van along Cork's lovely coastline when I ran out of gas - including the spare - on a Saturday evening! A response to a frantic call for help directed me to Cork Gas, which is on Forge Hill Road, near Cork Airport, so I made my way there on Sunday so that I wouldn't be searching for it during rush hour on Monday morning. When I spotted the Bull McCabe's across the junction on the Cork airport road I decided to go there for dinner as I couldn't cook in the camper without gas. I also asked if it was possible that I could park up in their car park for the night so that I could get my gas first thing Monday. Let me be clear - this pub/restaurant does not allow camper vans to park there, as I discovered the following morning. But, because I was a woman driving solo, with two dogs, they allowed me to stay the night, gratis and graciously. I'm vegetarian and asked if I could have a veggie pizza and take it out to the van to eat. I got the best pizza I think I have ever eaten in my life - and possibly the biggest too! It was piled high with all sorts of colourful and delicious toppings, and, at just 11 euro, was so big that I couldn't eat breakfast or lunch the following day. And it was piping hot... Earlier, clients as well as staff had responded to my query as to where I could take the dogs for a good run with advice and directions to Blackrock Castle. It was good advice. The following morning, one of the extremely kind staff brought me out the black coffee (all I could manage after the pizza) so that I could drink it outside with my dogs - on leads, of course - beside me. They say food prepared with love and kindness tastes better. I suspect that the cooking skill that went into preparing that pizza would have tasted delicious no matter what - but the kindness I received there certainly added a very special flavour to it all. Again, I repeat, this pub does not allow camper vans to stay over: they were simply responding with kindness to a bit of an emergency. But, if you're driving a car, and you want delicious food, served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, I couldn't recommend this pub more highly. Thanks, Bull McCabes - you do Cork proud!

This is familiar food (the sort my mother would make for a Sunday lunch) really taken up to another level (Sorry Mum!).I can't compliment the porchetta highly enough. Yes, it's roast pork with potatoes and broccoli, but not like you've experienced it before. The staff are all super-attentive, without being intrusive.I didn't have a dessert as I was so full at this point. The drinks list has plenty of imaginative cocktails and a decent selection of beer and cider. If I was to quibble at all, it's in relation to the wine list, which is a bit ordinary (South-West France, Iberia, New Zealand etc.) and doesn't have a huge amount to pair with pork (there's an Australian Riesling that would, but it comes in at a serious â¬42 per bottle), which is unfortunate for somewhere that does pork so well; a white from Alsace, Germany, Austria or Hungary would be a welcome addition to the list.

and we weren't disappointed. We were passing through Cork on our way from Tipperary to Kenny, and needed a place for a rest and some breakfast. Cafe Spresso is a charming little hole in the wall, run by one person. I've read several recent reviews talking about Thomas, but the morning we were there we were served by a young woman. She took our order, cooked it, and delivered it to our table. In between doing that, and waiting on other customers, she received a delivery of produce and dairy products, and sorted and put away the fairly large order. I think she might secretly be wonder woman. She was efficient, friendly and the food was wonderful.

Great food. Lovely wine. The makings of this place is the staff. Attentive yet relaxed waiters. Chefs that you can see are preparing the food with great attention to detail. And the individual doing the wash up (you can also see this) was so diligent that it inspires confidence that everything done here was done to an excellent standard across the board. Well done to your team. Would recommend.

I dined here last Friday night for a family birthday dinner. As a person that is very familiar with Blarney and consider myself somewhat of a foodie I cannot believe this gem escaped my radar until now. Wonderful service, fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, i could not rate it high enough. they even catered specifically off menu for one family member (requested in advance) and it no problem at all. Highly highly recommend. I had the crispy egg for starter and it was cooked to perfection. Hake for main with a delicious veloute. Everybody else sang praises about their orders.Thank you so much Martina and Tricia. We will be back!!!!!
