Glass topped tables and two distinct dining areas, separated by the waiting area for the many takeaway customers. We started with a soup, followed with starters from the âearly birdâ menu and finished with very generous, fresh-tasting and satisfying lamb and chicken dishes. I particularly recommend the noodles. On street parking only, but itâs free in the evening.

Absolutely incredible Thai red curry, hands down the nicest I have ever had! I heard the chef spent time in Thailand and it shows. I do not think I can ever get nicer Curry anywhere else, in Ireland anyway. Great service also and very clean. Will be back here many times again.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here, with charming service, great views of the waterfront, friendly staff and delicious food. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Ordered some sort of "mess", wait, it was the Eton Mess, it was AMAZING!!! Wasn't really sure what I was ordering, but it seemed local and it was fantastic!!!

A light lunch on a rainy day in Cobh. The roasted pepper and tomato soup filled the bill. Along with a perfectly pored Guinness, a perfect lunch.

After trying a number of speciality steak houses across this fine country we actually found a really good one. We had the rib eye and it was perfectly cooked and the sides matched really well. Well worth a visit. If you are in Cobh and looking for a great steak this is the place to come.

The Old Town Whiskey Bar at Bodega â the grand dame in Corkâs Old Town, Irelandâs largest whiskey bar housed in one of the countries most beautiful bars. Food served 7 days a week â brunch & steaks a speciality! Enjoy our in-house cocktails in the beautif
As a return visitor my fondness for the Bodega is largely fuelled by nostalgia, for when it first opened in the 1990s it was well ahead of its time in combining sophistication and comfort with a large open plan layout in a beautiful refurbished building - a formula which has since been applied in numerous other locations. The Bodega has not lost its appeal, and upstairs provides a tasteful separate space for private functions.
