Find out what European restaurants to try in Cirali. The biggest attraction here are the flames coming out of vents in the mountainside. According to legend, the monster Chimera, which had three fire-spewing heads, was chased by the Lycian hero Bellerophon on his winged horse Pegasus. He killed the monster, but the fire-spewing heads fell on the mountain where they still burn.

Delicious pizzas. Gorgeous hummus selection with ridiculously morish garlic bread. Friendly service. Knocking off one point because there was minimal drinks selection, they are just getting up and running for the season and are not fully stocked, but pretty much only beer.... otherwise ace.

Having looked at the menu board outside the restaurant & then somehow being urged by the very keen, well dressed gentleman, we thought " why not, let's try" a huge mistake! The restaurant itself is very nice, lovely table linen, furniture, etc,but the guy (who looks very similar to Quentin Wilson,of Top Gear fame)was making me very uncomfortable. The choices on the menu all sounded nice, plenty choice, even though "Quentin" kept telling us about "the specials" however,I chose the chicken, with soya&garlic sauce, hubby had chicken with pineapple, my son chose prawn skewer's & my daughter the penne pasta in a cream sauce with chicken. Ordered drinks& water,& waited....no bread, meze whilst waiting which was odd as every other restaurant compliments you with it& we come to accept & look forward to it.Our food arrived, penne pasta looked as you'd expect& actually was the best of the bunch.2 small prawn skewer's, small portion brown gloopy rice didn't impress or fill my son.My chicken & hubby's chicken had both the same sauce which had obviously been sitting out as the sauce had a skin on the top!!around the pate was some sad looking carrots & green beans that after the chef/cook trying to make it look presentable were cold.Usually I would have questioned this food& complained, but as "Quentin" was really creeping me out(family felt the same) we are what we could quickly as to leave asap. I requested the bill& was asked,"what's the hurry " and to be honest I think he wanted us to sit a while to make his place look busy! Tea was brought tonus& again I requested the bill, which he then eventually brought over. Not a penny more did I pay,in fact I'm annoyed I didn't complain or leave, but lesson learnt.Have to say the Aubergine was more style over substance& we won't return.
Where to eat Turkish food in Cirali: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We called in one evening for a G&T, the restaurant appeared busy and looked atmospheric in the dark with lots of small oil lamps and lovely gourd lamps in the bar area. We decided to return for dinner on our last evening - what a disappointment! Tables well set, lovely wine glasses and comfortable seating however the food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. Mixed meze plate for 2 was substantial as were the main courses, one chicken and one lamb, however we had eaten far tastier food at a third of the price elsewhere. 133 lira including a few glasses of just about okay white wine. Service was polite, helpful and attentive - just the food and price lets it down.
