This place was filled with tourists, since very few locals can afford it. The waitress, Maria was not only gorgeous but she was incredibly knowledgable of the menu. A long time ago Pegas restaurant (it was called "Las Pegas" then) had only four tables and it looked more like a small grill-bar where the most delicious sausages in the city were cooked. Very quickly that grill-bar grew to a beautiful, two-storey restaur

La Placinte is a chain restaurant, and the vibe is casual, with a mostly local clientele. Located near the cathedral, the restaurant is huge, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu has little English, but every item has a photo to assist ordering. The food was excellent, far better than Americans would expect from a chain restaurant. We began with two appetizers. I wasnât entirely sure what âfasole butataâ was, but it was tasty (40 leu). We then each had excellent salads (salata vitamina, 40 leu; salata âChisinauâ, 55 leu). That would have been enough food, but we had also ordered entrees. My beef stroganoff (95 leu) was different than expected (served over roasted potatoes instead of noodles) but as excellent. My partner enjoyed the grilled pork chop (120 leu). With three beers, the total was only 461 leu (around $27).If you donât need elegant ambiance, this restaurant is an excellent choice.

This is in my opinion the - by far - best restaurant in Chisinau. Not a standard menu, instead a big variety of starters, incl tasty avocado hummus, excellent grilled courses and vegetarian options. Great local wines as well. The desserts were delicious, especially the chocolate cake and Gastrobars own take on Tiramisu. Purely addictive. Service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed.

I had had high expectations for this restaurant and was very disappointed. First, both the food and the wine were mediocre. Second, the staff was very cold from start to end and didnât show the slightest bit of hospitality, which many reviews here attest to. However, when the check came, he emphasized that tips werenât included in the amount. How could they shamelessly ask for a tip while there was in fact no service?!

It is difficult to imagine a gastronomic map of Chisinau without the âLa Sarkisâ restaurant. Thanks to a man who opened in the long-gone nineties an inconspicuous shashlik (shish kebab) house in the capital. For many years they cooked the best meat in the
Very good location at the edge of the lake park with astonishing cars parked outside the restaurant much above Moldova standard. Inside no special reason for such clientele. Food reasonable but nothing special, service slow, prices higher than should be according to offer.

Good location, amazing atmosphere, good beer, fine cuisine. Prices are really ok. They serve beer in 500ml or 1l glasses. Only negative thing was that they closed at 12a.m. even if the opening hours were until 2a.m.Thank you very much for your nice comment. Always welcome!!!
