Exquisite cuisine for a very affordable price. Fine food, excellent choice of wines, typical French cuisine in an immaculate dinning room with an exceptionnal service. This is better than some Michelin Star restaurants I have been. Worths the detour even
Went there on Sunday night. Quite nice atmosphere, and great staff. Took a course menu 32euro. I love to come back when I return to this area! Thank you very much, Aligato!æ¥æå¤ã«è¨ªåãæ©ãã®æéã ã£ãã®ã§äºç´ç¡ãã§ãå ¥ãããäºç´ããã®ããã¿ã¼ãåºå ã®é°å²æ°ãè¯ããã¹ã¿ãããåªãããå± å¿å°ã®è¯ãã¬ã¹ãã©ã³ãç§ã¯32ã¦ã¼ãã®ã³ã¼ã¹ãé¸æããããã¶ã¼ãã§è¿·ã£ã¦ãããã¿ã«ãã¿ã¿ã³ãå§ãããããåèãã¡ã¤ã³ãç¾å³ããã£ãï¼ã¾ãæ©ä¼ãããã°æ¯éæ¥ããã

On Sundays, it is the only place to be, and, as a result, almost all of its approximately 30 covers were taken. But we were greeted warmly and offered a choice from (now apparently the standard) three-course five-choice menu. Beautifully cooked and presented traditional French cuisine. Pre-starter amuse-bouches were delightful. Chocolate bomb dessert to die for!I particularly enjoyed the local specialist beer. Was it called 'Or de Beauce'? I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Lovely!

Our host from Chateau Trousay recommended this little place and we weren't disappointed, lovely friendly staff and food was very nicely presented. Pork was nicely cooked, just right and my wife had the duck main, that was also very nicely cooked and full of flavour. Worth a visit for a nice evening meal.

This restaurant is classified by Logis-de-France with 3 cooking pots - meaning their top rating for food. We've previously enjoyed meals at several different Logis' with various Cooking Pot classifications but we were very disappointed with the Restaurant L'Agriculture in Tours-en-Solonge. It was very much less good than restaurants with lower classification, and the service was appalling. We ordered 'a la carte'. When the food came, the accompaniments to all three main course dishes were not as described in the menu - and were not very good! The main problem was a "Filet de turbot cuit vapeur en papillote translucide" which was presented still in its plastic wrapper (complete with blue plastic ties) containing a small, rather dry fillet of white fish that was certainly not turbot. Our tentative complaint was not met well. The waitress disappeared to consult in the kitchen and eventually took it away before explaining unsympathetically that this was the way it should be. She grudgingly offered a replacement and returned after some time with a completely different fish dish, which was OK, but not anything we would order. It was only at the end of the meal that we worked out that the fishes for two of the main courses had been swapped. The turbot had been replaced with St Pierre - which was too strong for the accompaniment (some sort of celeriac mush rather than the carrot and cumin mousseline promised) while the turbot appeared in place of the St Pierre in "Filet de St Pierre roti , jus de viande et morilles". The turbot was unable to withstand this quite strong sauce, so both dishes were spoiled. The chef should certainly have noticed this when it was sent back even if he missed it on the way out!Unfortunately we were unable to attract the waitress' attention again for long enough to attempt to explain this. She remained completely unapologetic throughout, with an attitude suggesting that it was all our fault and that we were being unreasonably fussy. We naturally declined dessert and left - after being kept waiting for a very long time for the bill.We could not possibly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This restaurant came highly recommended by another restaurant owner in Vouvray. It did not disappoint. Located in a quiet little town on a Main Street who would suspect what delightful food awaits! We ordered two entrees and two desserts on a prix fix e17 for lunch. I had chicken with mashed potatoes with a delicate cream sauce. My husband enjoyed wild boar, also with mashed potato in a rich, earthy wine sauce. He had pumpkin cream brûlée and I had rice pudding with berries. Everything was wonderful. Beyond our meal we were served a small tasting of fish and also a puff filled with duck pate before we had lunch. Small sweet treats came at the end of our meal. The husband and wife who own the restaurant are lovely and work very hard to give you an excellent experience. Do give this restaurant a try, I think you will enjoy it. But do make a reservation as the place is filled!

One of the best stakes of my trip to france so far (and that is saying something). Davy could not do enough to accomodate us and has even had a word with the chef tonight (we are going straight back) to change the menu to accomodate my 2 pescatarian daughters. Superb all round

If you want rustic food and large portions don't come to the Vielle Tour, but if you appreciate the subtle use of flavours and beautifully presented food then this could be for you. I would have given this 5 stars if the desserts had been up to the standard of the excellent starters and main courses but this aside I would happily eat here again. The contempoary dining room is comfortable and the Service was very good. Good choice of local wines

Thanks to several good reviews by other TripAdvisor members, we decided to test this restaurant. We had dinner on the terrasse. The look of this two-year old restaurant is particularly design, clean and pleasant. The Chef, in his thirties, has already a quite long career in fine food including some years working in the UK.My wife took the menu and I chose "a la carte".All preparations were made of particularly fresh and tasty ingredients. The dishes were creative, balanced and very well presented. My wife's cold melon soup was delicious. It was so good that, although I never eat desert, I asked at the end of my meal if I could have some of that melon soup for desert. The Chef prepared, specially for me, a dish with the soup and a ball of lime sorbet. Perfect. Each time we travel in the Loire region, we obviously drink local wines. The waiter recommended a Cour Cheverny (white) made of a rare vine, romorantin. Cheap and really fruity and crispy. Ideal during a warm day.To our taste, the test was successful. We recommend this reasonably priced place.*********************Many restaurants in European French speaking countries (France, Belgium, Switzerland) are called "Chez..." with the name, often a lady's name, of the founder or first cook. At the end of the meal, I asked the Chef why his brand new restaurant is called "Chez Madeleine". I was expecting his answer to be something of the kind "It was my Grandma's name. She taught me how to cook". To my great surprise, his answer was "Because my daughter's name is Madeleine". I then asked "How old is she"."She is six !"...This is a proof that this young chef prefers to look towards the future rather than the past...

We stumbled upon this lovely little crêperie while looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before visiting Cheverny. Both the crêpes and the galettes (savoury crêpes) were delicious. If the weather permits, make sure to grab a table in the inner courtyard and enjoy the country French ambiance of this little gem of a restaurant. Save room for dessert...the Tarte Tatin is over the top!
