4 of us went for a lunch on a Monday towards the end of July. It was such good value. The food was stunning; three courses for 20 euros. Wine is now extra but you get a really large glass for no more than 5.50 a glass.I started with a Thai style tuna and the other 3 had smoked mackerel. All was excellent. Main course was hake (really delicious) with a lovely blueberry desert.Since we were last here the outside terrace has been materially rebuilt with a large pergola covering all the outside tables, A great improvement for outside eating.Highly recommended. I would be delighted to go again really soon!

A very nice welcome at la Tonnellerie for 6 of us, and a suggestion that we eat indoors as it was much cooler there : it was! We chose the 32⬠menu and were not disappointed. The smoked salmon was delicious, as were the goats cheese and pate starters. We all cleared our plates! For the main course we mostly chose the veal steaks which were perfectly cooked and tender and came with a sauce and very complementary vegetables. Two of the party chose the slow cooked pork , which they also found meltingly tender. Puddings were lovely...the panna cotta was very popular with our party, but the apple tart and chocolate brownie were also much enjoyed. Compared with other restaurants in the locality, perhaps this one is a shade more expensive, but the service was charming and the atmosphere delightful, so no quibbles. Thank you

Have eat at Les Ombrages on many occasions. Aline and Christophe are excellent hosts. The food and wine are both excellent. The location is off the beaten track near Chateauneuf de Charente very close to the river itself. The service is excellent and friendly. Both Aline and Christophe speak excellent English and are more than happy to discuss the menu and Carte de Vin.We will be visiting again in May 2016. My only disappointment is that the restaurant is closed during our New Year visits to Vibrac - suppose mine hosts do deserve some time off.

Traditional and regional cuisine that offers Essille is not less tasty, gourmet ... A map or in the choice of menus, recipes are cooked with local products, rich palette of flavors, available in starters, main courses, cheeses and desserts ... Not forgett
A stone's throw from a Benedictine abbey, the restaurant in this hotel specializes in very modern French cuisine. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. The restaurant is accessed via a lounge adorned with bottles of cognac: there are nearly 200 different sorts, making it one of the finest collections in the region. My wife and I went with four friends and had what can only be described as a wonderful meal. We all stuck to the fixed price menu and we were not disappointed. If you are a real foodie the joy of going for a mid week set meal is that you might not have chosen any of the dishes left to your own devises but I have never ever regretted following a good chef's recommendations. And a good chef he certainly is and is so acknowledged by the 2019 Michelin Guide. We washed the delicious main course (cuttlefish) down with a 2015 red Sancerre. A perfect match for an unusual fish main course. The waiting staff were attentive and charming.Would I go again? Absolutely.
