Find out what European restaurants to try in Cesky Krumlov. The southwestern castle city of Cesky Krumlov is one of the Czech Republic’s finest medieval sites. Its Old Town is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, a maze of twisting alleys built around the extensive Cesky Krumlov castle. Saunter through crooked, cobblestone streets on foot and soak up the atmosphere of this impeccably preserved medieval gem. The gushing Vltava, popular with rafting enthusiasts, darts through the town.

Wow, is all we can say! First and very important, you must have reservations otherwise you will have to wait until 9 pm... We started with the bratwurst appetizer, served with a side of pickled slaw, greens and horseradish and mustard... it was outstanding! Spiced just right and very flavorful. Then we had the mixed grill for 2...2 pieces each of pork tenderloin, chicken breast and steak, plus 2 each of baked potatoes, potato pancakes plus the pickled slaw, greens and pickles... Really, 4 persons would have had enough food because the portions were huge! Everything was perfectly grilled, tender, juicy and tasty! The two of us could not eat it all!Service was excellent and this dinner was one of the best during our 17 days in the Czech Republic! Did I mention that we had all of the above plus a large beer, 3 glasses of wine and a cappuccino for about $40.00 US! Great quality, service, ambiance that cannot be beat!

I applaud the Czech Republic for offering so many Vegan and Vegetarian options. Most are quality restaurants with thoughtfully executed dishes made fresh to order. My meal at Laibon was the exception during this trip. My bulger wheat selection was overly salty and tasted of a cheap seasoning mix or excess soy sauce to create some flavor within the dish. Our guacamole was actually brown and its ingredients were separated to the point that a watery pool of fluid had formed in the dip. Served with mundane store bought nacho chips, this too was poorly rendered. Then that leaves the boiled potatoes which are impossible to mess up right? Even the mint tea lacked any sort of forethought. Mint leaves in hot water, not even a sachet, literally leaves floating in hot water, OK? The waiter/server/possible owner was hurried, quick to irritate and never re-appeared after serving the meal. And the bathrooms? I wonât go there. And neither will I go there, to Laibon, again.

Two different meals ordered. One ok the other not so. The duck meal was extremely overcooked, chared and burnt. The duck did not taste freshly cooked. Would not visit again.

We are a family of twelve people. We had dinner there yesterday night. All the dishes were tasty :salads, soups, pasta and pizza. We drank red wine of the house, which was good also. The tiramisu was very good.Service is very friendly. After a week touring South Bohemia, where most of the restaurants are below average and service from unfriendly to openly nasty, an very good restaurant with good service is an exception.

Stunning terrace with old town and castle overwiev, international cuisine - steaks, home-made pasta, salads, ribs, wings, the Finest Czech and European wines. Come and try!
We went to this restaurant based on recommendation. We waited to be seated about 8-10 minutes and there several open tables. The menu has lots of choices including pasta, pizza and meat. There several wines to choose from at various prices. The portions were generous. The flavor on the lasagna was bland. The risotto didnât have a lot of flavor either. There was no bread served before or with the meal. The price was a little high for the area

We had a fabulous dinner in this charming upscale restaurant within the Bellevue Hotel. Le Jardin offers some cosy indoor tables, a few covers within a quiet garden courtyard, & on a terrace out front of the hotel. The white gloved service was spot on, polished, but friendly & knowledgeable. The meal kicked off with superb homemade bread & butter & a very tasty pork belly amuse bouche. Thereafter, starters & mains were excellent; very creative, flavoursome & beautifully presented. Not sure if itâs a local trait but the chef had a tendency towards sweet sauces in his savoury dishes. Interesting! Puds were less impressive & the recommended chocolate fondant was a heavy beast. Overall though, a damn good meal, & the place to come for a smart lunch/dinner. Quite pricey for the area, with steaks priced at £30. They also offer a tasting menu, with or without wine flight.Dear mrstraveller1,thank you for choosing our restaurant for your dinner and for dedicating your time to sharing here your kind and valuable review. It is the best reward for us to read that you had one enjoyable evening with us and that you appreciated our meal offer, the restaurant ambiance, and our personnel attitude. Since our goal is to treat each guest with the best manner possible, your words of praise will be highly appreciated and forwarded to the entire team.On behalf of the entire team, I truly hope to welcome you here again soon and maybe surprise you with a new menu that our chef changes over the seasons. With kind regards,Anna Äermáková - Guest Relation ManagerTeam Le Jardin
