A pleasant small hotel with excellent restaurant in quiet countryside. We were attracted to this hotel by the nationwide Tous Au Restaurant offer as part of the Gastronomic weekend. The meal was very good and was served under the shade of of a large wisteria. An amuse bouche was followed by a tasty foire gras with sweet dark confiture de olive, a nice combination. The main was a delicious fillet of Dorade with girolle mushrooms followed by a complex dessert of chocolate and ice cream. Even though it was a special offer I thought the menu price at 45 euros was a bit on the high side for a normal meal. Service was friendly and cheerful.

We had a 'menu du jour' for lunch @ 12,80 euros pp. Which is an almost ridiculous price for an excellent 3-course meal. Especially the desserts were breathtaking, but all other courses were very good, and beautifully served. Furthermore it is a tidy restaurant, the hostess/owner is very friendly and attentive and they serve fine house wine at a very reasonable price (8 euro/0.5ltr).

If you want a really good dinner and not priced to break the bank then go to Les Petits Plats.....it was wonderful to eat outside and enjoy the warm evening at a slow pace. The food was wonderful and the manager was sooooooo nice. Go there.

The restaurant - Pizzeria La Fontaine in Cavaillon is ideally located in the historic center, opposite the former convent of the recently renovated Dominicans and a stone's throw from the synagogue and the Jewish museum comtadin. Chef Xavier Lemaire and h
Here is a chef who seems to really care that everything his customers eat is delicious. We ate as a family, and there is a choice of children's menus to please even fussy appetites. The adults ate the 4 course menu and everything was really good:delicious cheese parcels with a black olive and chilli omelette and a really good salad; sole with a parawn and mushroom sauce and well cooked rice; good cheeses and very tasty creme brullee with melon jus. The service was friendly, accurate and low key, while the food was just very, very tasty. This place deserves your custom - very good value for money.

We went for a casual light dinner. Since it seemef such good value, I opted for the 3-course 13⬠menu: shrimp samosas, good, baby lamb chops, excellent, and chocolate cake, good. My husband ordered the 4- cheese pizza which had small rouds of a soft rinded cheese on top, very good. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Nicely located, not far from the Tourist office (easy parking), this simple, no-frills but cosy restaurant offers mostly local cuisine (from salads to tripe, from bull to delicious fish or squid) from fresh ingredients. Service is rather quick and prices are acceptable.

The location is nice even though, being on top of a hill, you don't want to be there when it's windy unless you stay inside. Clean and well kept (even though lot's of ants were walking around behind us near the fountain) it is build to impress but the food is limited, small portions but well served in the dishes. It's a place where you want to take your girl for a first date, impress her with how the dish is presented rather than what it contains. Make sure she speaks French since the menu is available only in french. If you decide to have an ice cream (good but way too expensive) watch out if you ask for 2 scoops; it is priced 2.20⬠each but if you ask for 2 you will be charged for a DUO, which is any combination of 2 scoops for 4.90â¬. Why 4.90 and not 4.40? I asked but couldn't get a reply from the waitress, well mannered and polite but who could barely speak english. Apparently the owner deos not want to write down that she charges 2.40⬠per scoop being too expensive but even 2.20 is not worth it. Overall, unless you want to impress, go for something else. BTW there is no view even from outside. AMEX is not accepted

We were late trying to find an open restaurant for dinner and this was one of the few choices we had since we didn't want pizza or pasta. Seems to be a lot of Italian food restaurants in France. This place had a friendly atmosphere and it seems it is run by an entire family. The food is good as is the service. I had Carpaccio and my companion had the Filet de Boeuf. We also had dessert but I don't remember what kind! There was a customer who was obviously drunk and kept getting louder and louder. He seemed to be a local. The hosts of the restaurant hosts handled the situation in a way that was the least disruptive to the customer and their style was appreciated. The menu here is very limited for dinner and it would not have been our first choice but it worked out fine.

The food was delicious here. We enjoyed the menu at 25 ⬠and appreciated the creative use of local ingredients. Good local wines are available at around 20 ⬠the bottle. The restaurant is open Sunday and Monday evenings, when many restaurants are closed. Service was excellent.

Excellent Michelin starred restaurant, with all the bells and whistles expected at this level. Service was first class. Amuse bouches were interesting and adventurous, and the meal itself could not be faulted. Menu, especially formule du jour, very reasonably priced, but drinks (eg the house cocktails) a little pricey. If I were to eat in Cavaillon again, this would definitely be my choice.
