We asked at the Hotel about a place to eat in the town and they recommended this small taverna on the main shopping street. No one spoke English, and we spoke no Italian, but managed to suggest that we might struggle along in French. The young chef had trained in France and came out and explained it all. He was cheerful and excited about his food, which was a series of small plates--really interesting and very good (tiny meat skewers, small bowl of lentil soup, lovely fish). The owner also came in and was as warm and friendly. So, great food, great hosts, pleasant atmosphere--what more could you want?

During our Easter trip we went for one lunch and one dinner to Kamaje. Is a family run restaurant. The foos is excellent and fresh. We had fied calamari and shrimps, a beautiful pizza, a calzone, salad, pasta with seafood, mozzarella, vegetables and dessert. All great , tasty, fresh. The owners are kind, the service is quick and prices are very good.Great places to taste typical food!!

We went for dinner in this restaurant with my brother-in-law who lives in the area. He guaranteed a great dinner 'rustico' and that's exactly what we experienced.The restaurant has a provincial, family feel with TV playing music in the corner and families chatting at the tables. It was packed on Thursday night. We had a set of meat appetizers: selection of cold cuts, mozzarella and ricotta, eggplant parmigiana, sausage and bean stew...the plates kept coming!Suggested local wine was excellent for our meal. We then tried the house specialty - "drowned" octopus. It was good, but we were, perhaps, too full to fully appreciate it. Deserts were ok. Rum baba was oversoaked with rum - great if you want to get drunk, not so great if you want a desert. Finished the meal with excellent meloncello. I would definitely recommend this place for home-cooked Italian experience!

Visited this restaurant based upon Trip Advisor ranking. In short food Ok Tuna with scabs (crust) was tasty. However what let the place down was the service having just finished my food the plate was whisked away whilst my wife was still eating. My wife advised the waiter that this was bad manners, so he sulked and we did not see him again. We asked for the bill, the locals were offered a free glass of grappa we recd nothing only the bill and a grunt from the disgruntled waiter. Won't be going back.

All the other reviews highlighting exceptional quality, service, value and graciousness are spot on. The location is great, just up from Vietri Su Mar with a parking lot across the street and near the Autostrada. Enzo, who is one of the owners, suggested a perfect lunch menu for us along with a wine pairing, all for around 60 euros. He even had everything plated separately so we could share each dish. This was by far one of the best meals we have ever had in our four trips to Italy, and definitely the culinary highlight of this trip. If you go, you will absolutely not be disappointed.
