Dining here as a largish group we found the service good and attentive and the food tasty and well cooked. The waiting staff dealt with the complexities of a lot of people with different tastes and needs quickly and efficiently. The portions were fine for lunchtime and were enjoyed by almost everyone. Would like to try this place in a smaller group and perhaps in the evening when we could try other dishes.

Paradors are, for me synonymous with quality, elegance and refinement and this one delivers completely. The modern addition that provides the rooms and dining facilities and rooms has been been tastefully designed, are spacious and all to a high standard. Reception and other common rooms have been tasefully incorporated in the remnants of the former monastry.Dining is a star feature with imaginative dishes cooked to a very high standard. It is conveniently located at the northern edge of the town adjacent to the river Onis, and the town centre is only a delightful 25 minute walk along the is well maintained river bank walk.It is an ideal base for exploring the Picos de Europa. In our 5 night stay, we managed to fit in 2 beautify countryside walks [hotel staff are vey helpful if you need ideas or directions] and visit the main highlight destination â Fuente De, Los lagos de Lacona and the climb from Poncebos to Bulnes.Terrific choice for anyone who like a bit of luxury as well as beautiful scenery.

You know what they say about busy restaurants being a good sign. This confirmed it. The town appears to be modern as you drive in, but has some historic buildings and the famous Roman Bridge. Not far from a central square with the church and other buildings you find El Abuelo which, when we visited was pretty full - on a Monday lunchtime and had a pleasant, friendly and lively atmosphere. In contrast, we had tried a bar/restaurant down the street which was dark and gloomyand the dining area was empty. We didn't fancy the menu so moved on, and were glad that we did.We were given a table outside in the covered area, which suited us well. There were menus in English and I asked about local dishes, which is why I had the peas and ham, then the escalopinne. Both were delicious and I finished off the meal with the local rice pudding. These were all from the set menu which, at 17 euros including wine and water, was excellent value for money. This restaurant ticked all the boxes.

Amazing dinner in Cangas de Onis, we have been there almost every day this week. Great service, unbelievable meat, super tasty salads, good wine. Try their Solomillo (super tender melt-in-your-mouth meat!), "pastel de cabracho" and their goat cheese salad. Location is fantastic and so is their food.A must in Cangas!

I confess I chose the restaurant because I wanted a quite one (so I found in Tripadvisor). Unlucky, perhaps because there was football in television (TV in a restaurant? Is it really necessary?) the "thing" was screaming. Pleasantly, the employee agreed to lower the sound. Well, the meal was not anything special, the two main (pork and lamb) overcooked.

This is (or should be..) the nr.1 restaurant in Codavonga according to TripAdvisor: I cannot imagine the rest..For me is enough one thing: they served warm water and fridge cold wine (a Rioja, not a white..), I do not think you need more..Just for completenessâ sake, let me add that Cachopo, the Asturian dish made of 2 veal fillet, filled of jamon Serrano and cheese, and fried, is the heaviest dish I ever tasted..

Casa Pedro has been traditionally the place to visit when you want to experience one of the best and most authentic gastronomic experience in northern Spain. Since they opened back in the 80's, Yoli has been cooking the most amazing stews in the region. I
A couple km west of town on a small road. Probably our favorite bread. Complementary spread of mejillones with guacamole. Loved the guac but Iâm not a big fan of mejillones. Ordered the grilled artichoke appetizer which was very tasty. We shared 2 different fishes for entrees Hake and sea bass. Thought they were both terrific. Service excellent.Muchas gracias por elegirnos! Es un placer para nosotros saber que os vais encantados de nuestro restaurante

Great local unpretentious place/people. I certainly recommend the food unless you are vegan/vegetarian. If you are hungry I recommend the Cachopo and if you are sharing dishes also order the Fabada...both are THE regional dishes and are good at this place. Itâs a family runned establishment and they treat you well...I want to go back soon.

I can't say anything bad about this place, its small, its charming and its very Spanish! The food is good and the price even better. I can't not mention the waiter, defiantly it's been a while, since I meet some character like him! Defiantly a place worth to stop if you are looking for that kind of dinner setting. + The best chocolate cake I ever have!

A family restaurant where we will be able to taste plates of the traditional Asturian kitchen. Asturian cuisine recognize enjoys fame for its quality, taste and tradition.
Fantastic restaurant in the center of cangas de onis. The service was very good and friendly. Food was excellent. The sardines with orange carpaccio and hake as main course were very good.
