Find out what European restaurants to try in Canazei. Canazei (Ladin: Cianacèi, German: Kanzenei, Kanetschei or Kanascheid) is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located in the upper part of the Val di Fassa, about 110 kilometres (68 mi) northeast of Trento. Its name derives from the Latin word cannicetus (cane thicket).

Traditional Ladino produce is the starting point to creating our signature dishes. Spend your time in a refined atmosphere, either in the company of friends or that of your loved ones. Sit comfortably and dine in an intimate setting!
We visited for lunch and the restaurant offered a small business lunch menu. I like that the restaurant focuses on a small set of dishes rather than a huge variety. We ordered a pasta dish, rabbit, risotto, and roast beef. Our meals were very tasty and fresh. Only the pasta was still a bit hard and some of the decoration looked a bit sad. The tiramisu desert was wonderful and the right size. The service was friendly and helpful and the prices were moderate. I can recommend this place. Dear Thomas B,Thank you very much for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your lunch.During the week we offer our guests a business lunch, for a convenient and easy meal.In Italy we serve our pasta "al dente", which means that it still retain some harder texture, if you would prefer it more cooked you should ask for "ben cotta". I would be happy to suit your palate!Thank you again.Best wishes from Campitello.Vladimir and the staff

Skied past this rather ramshackle looking place yesterday and noticed it did wood fired cooked pizza. Went in today for lunch and what a surprise. Not only does it do wood fire cooked pizza but amazing meat too. We all ate the pizza (yummy) each had a drink and 90 euros later all 8 of us felt very satisfied. We sat inside with wonderful views over the valley in one direction and a wonderful views of the huge pieces of meat being cooked over hot coals. We will be back in a couple of days to sample the meat! It is it at all ramshackle inside but absolutely stunning.

It's surprising to find a restaurant on the slopes where personnel really cares about yo. They are friendly, speak several languages and offer great service. And then the food: We stopped at Fienile for coffee and Strudel. Which was great. So we immediately made reservations for lunch. And lunch was lovely. (Started out with speck und kase (ham and cheese) and then had the steak. ). We understand they do dinner too. They pick you up and drive you up to the slopes and the restaurant. The only problem with Fienile: It's quite small so you really need reservations for lunch if you want/need to sit inside. So call ahead.

The restaurant is located close to the one of most popular ski cross roads in the area.It offers different options for different needs - regular restaurant, self service one and apre ski bar with live music. We took the self service options and enjoyed spaghetti, lasagne and roasted coated cheese. Drinks were not that good especially muled wineStrangely it was quite difficult to find anyone speaking in English, German assured proper completion of an order

We stayed for a week skiing and went to Rifugio Ciampolin almost every afternoon on the way down after a great day in the wonderful slopes. Very hospitable place, nice music and super drinks. We were offered some snacks for free to go with the drinks which is always appreciated. Beautiful views too!

We dined here in Feb 18 and found it to be a delightful "little" restaurant. I can see why so many people return. The food is simple but very good. I would recommend the venison medallions they were so tender an cooked perfectly. definitely worth another visit.

We stopped and had a late lunch outdoors at the White Wolf. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, great service. And the food! The food shows the cross-country heritage of a place that might be equal parts Italy, Germany and Austria. My grigliata mista was quite good, but the absolute hit of the meal was the polenta con formaggio & fughi. Grilled perfectly, with the tiniest bit of crust, there was just the right mix of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness in every single bite. In our family, we tend to share a few bites of everyone's meal, but today it was practically a showdown as to who would get the most of this wonderful delight! Oh, and did I mention the scenery? Wow. We loved our stop at the Wellness Hotel!
