Restaurant looked very inviting, but unfortunately the food was not tasty or seasoned in any way, carpaccio du beuf and the Osso bucco was very bland to say the least, scampi bites was shocking, calzone pizza was the same all very bland. Food came very fast I felt rushed as if they wanted you in and out for the next customers. We have ate a lot in France over the years and this restaurant does France no favours

To us this looked like the nicest place along the main shopping road that did pizzas, gilettes, and crepes. It's all very modern inside, for a French restaurant, and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We actuall visited twice, once for dinner and two days later for lunch. We both had gilettes the first time, and pasta and salad dishes the second time. All the food and wine was tasty, excellent value for money, and the service was friendly, excellent, and consistent on both occasions. We will definitely visit again when we're in Cabourg and recommend it with confidence.BonjourMerci pour votre commentaire, cela nous fait toujours plaisir de voir que ces petites attentions plaisent à notre clientèle. au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveaux. As others have said, the portions are large. The staff are very friendly and the food well cooked. Not gourmet, but good wholesome food. Well worth a visit.

The place looks very cozy and nice but the food is âhorribleâ. The starter was âokâ but could have some more attention from the chef regarding seasoning. The mussels were so small we needed a magnifying glass to localise them. The French fries were so soaked in oil, Shell would be very interested in them. The staff is very friendly and prices are in line with the food. I would recommend you to look for a better place with better food to spend your money and time.

Think may be under new management, so not so many amuse Bouches or palate cleansers, even so worth the effort.

The Grand Hotel sits at the very point of Cabourg's amphitheatre layout, so it and its restaurant are a big deal and in the proper season it must be very popular. Visiting off season meant that we had no problem to get a table, but otherwise it seemed everything else was the same. The dining room area is very ornate, and the staff are sharp but friendly. Food looked great and mostly had great flavour and creativity â at worst the occasional item which didn't work in combination was at least still interesting. All of this made it a great meal â the only downside was the price. Even by the standards of the food, the prices are very high, and a bit of that must be 'where' you are eating, not just 'what'. This element would put me off going here again, but for sure if you can accept the prices then the food is excellent â just not excellent value.

Just crossing the Piron bridge in Cabourg and you arrive here, a real new place with amazing food, and new tastes. We had a fondue âterre et merâ which was a real discovery, with some alsacian influence. But also our gamba-salad starter was refreshing. The place is worth being visited, just outside the traditional Cabourg environment.

Venez découvrir notre cuisine authentique de produits frais, ses viandes rôties à la cheminée dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
Im very open about not being the biggest fan of french cuisine but this place was quite good. The staff was very nice and the open fire cooking was really interesting to watch. All the food was really flavorful and presented beautifully though in true gastronomic fashion dont expect to find a lite meal here. The menu was very complex including several variations for each of multiple gastronomic pairings as well as a wide variety of a la carte items. All the sea food seamed quite fresh though as in most restaurants in France it was limited to 2-3 types of white fish or sea bass and a few types of shellfish (this might vary seasonally). I feel like the steaks or lamb were probably better as the chef was cooking them over an open fire in the back of the dining room so I feel like maybe a little more attention was given to them but the fish was very good and I didn't try any red meat so its difficult to assume anything about it. Also don't expect a timely meal Like most dinner seatings in France you're gonna be at the table for at least 3 hours. I cant really knock off points for this as its just the standard operating procedure in France but Its definitely hard to digest 2500 calories when you sit down at 7pm and don't get out of the restaurant until 11:30 and all you want to do is go home and fall into a diabetic coma. Again this is a very good restaurant and I highly recommend it if you are in the area. I think I am just bitter that France seems very stuck in its ways as far as food goes. I wish there had been more gluten free, vegetarian or even vegan options at some point on my trip. I just feel like France has such a diverse climate and they grow so much produce I hope the modern chefs start taking more advantage of those vegetable assets.

It was busy, but not full, with quite a multi-cultural crowd for the town of Cabourg. The staff were pleasant and courteous, with a fair grasp of English. The service was good and prompt. The food came quite quickly and was hot (very important to us). The pizzas were great, and I really enjoyed my 'moules et frites'.All in all a great meal and a pleasant evening. Nothing not to like.To be honest, we cheated a little. We looked up the best reviewed restaurant in town, and decided to eat there, so La Casa was always on a bit of a hiding to nothing.Sure, very good, but not great

Situed on the port of Ouistreham near the arrival and depart for Portsmouth by the Ferry .Seafood platter and a good wine are proposed.Speciality of Fish and Meat . The dishes are homemade. Fast and discreet service .Mussels, fish and ships and crepes .
Had dinner here before embarking for the UK on Saturday night . The service was faultless and the staff really lovely. We were not rushed at all and we had time to eat our meal at a lovely gentle pace. The Mere et terre starter of fois gras and salmon and prawn was superb and our main course of steak perfectly cooked to my taste and my wife had the veal in a lovely white sauce. The veal was a little overcooked but was still really tasty. All in all a good meal.
