We chose this restaurant for its clean, smart and stylish appearance and because many of the others nearby had generally quite poor reviews. It as lots seemed popular with the many locals who were having lunch there. The service was good, tables well presented with fine linen and place settings. The portions were generous, several pieces of steak with salad and black beans, all very tasty. It also came with rice and chips - a frequent trend in Portuguese cuisine of doubling up on carbs. Anyway, a decent meal all in all.

The location is awesome, one of my favorite places in Cabreira mountain range in a small isolated village. It can be complicated to find the location, Google maps was a bit confused. The restaurant is in a renovated house and has two floors full of tables. Thereâs not much atmosphere or decoration, itâs a place made to welcome big groups or families (especially during the weekends) and it can be crowded and noisy. I would recommend going during a weekday. The meat was great (very tender âcarne assadaâ or mixed grill) and there was no other choice in the weekend apart of meat or âfeijoadaâ (red beans) so not a place for vegetarians. Portions are HUGE. The dessert (âdoce da casaâ / homemade sweet) was really disappointing. âDoce da casaâ should always be the best one can offer from the kitchen and not a kind of industrial sweet without any taste or originality. Cheesecakes served to other clients looked better. Overall Tasca do Pinhão deserves a visit (only if you really like meat) during a weekday maybe after a strenuous trek in the mountain.

During our stay in Juguelhe we visited Nariz DO Mundo. This is just a great experience. No English speaking, just Portuguese. Drinks are being ordered and after that the different dishes follow in a fast pace. Salad, selfmade fries, rice, goat, veal, beans and all just as delicious. And for a very good price. Be sure you are hungry and you love good meat when visiting here. A tip: don't visit during the weekends. The combination of locals and busses of tourists make it a lesser experience.

Good place to get your snack trip. The place has their own handmade fries and they make a good burger. Service is friendly. The owner is a Dutch guy that understand how we Dutch like our fries so extra kudos for that !

if you´re around you must stop at Arco do Baulhe and taste the dishes of this restaurante. Antonio´s a nice guy, always running around but keeps a restaurante for several years always improving the quality. there are always great wines and you should tast his specialty batatas da escola, but there are also great meat to taste.
