Based on a design of the 28 Tramway in Lisbon, the BistroBar 28 offers you tapas and other delicious foods, which you can accompany with drinks made and chosen with care.
Came here a few times throughout my holiday, such a great little bar. The decor is very impressive and the outdoor sitting area is very impressive. Alex the owner and his staff are very friendly and the drinks are very cheap. Would definitely recommend coming here.

We are regulars at this restaurant. I just love, love, love the front of house and the guy who manages the charcoal bbq! I really truly and honestly get the need for efficient and proficient service but tonight's was taken to Olympic levels. She's the spit of Paula Radcliffe and she tears through the patio at breakneck speed. Her speed gives the air of indifference and her need to make sure that all covers are being catered for leads to indifference. I had a pain in my stomach watching her and my meal was eaten at break neck speed. Drop down a gear, engage with your customers - and if you lose 1 or 2 while you slow down, who cares? We'll have an amazing dining experience and your waitress wont die of an aneurysm ......

We visited one evening in early June. We must have arrived early because there were plenty of free tables. These soon filled up however. The waiter and waitress were friendly and helpful as always. We started with the couvert then hubby had the algarvian style calamari with chips and salad which was absolutely delicious. I was thrilled with the pork and clams which I had not tried before and it was a very big portion with lovely hot chips. The chocolate mousses were great and with a nice bottle of red wine the bill was â¬46 which was very reasonable. We returned later in the holiday having made a booking days before. things were getting crazy busy. Once again we enjoyed it so much I had the calamari which my husband had the first time. It was soooo delicious.Highly recommended but do book or go late!

Great location in an impressive glass fronted water front position.Struggle to see why this gets such a good rating food or service wise. The service was poor from the outset, no greeting or welcome or real attention, with two waitresses swigging water from a bottle, just chatting whilst we had not been offered drinks (that could just be jealousy !)The steak meal was an average cut of meat, undercooked chips and rice - surprisingly boring, bland and tasteless (no source or offering of).One of those evenings you wish you had stayed at home (I am a local not a tourist) :(

A little off the beaten track, but you'll find it was well worth the effort after enjoying our food.Outside dining in the summer months.Vegetarian and childrens menu available.Main courses between 7.50 - 12 euros.Daily specials of starters and maincourse.
I went into book a table and I was greeted by Fernando, who instantly recognised me from last year and asked "where is the girls?" - meaning my daughter and wife. He said no problem and I asked if my wife could get the garclic mushrooms that were not on the specials, not a problem. The clams and mushrooms to start were lovely. The mains were swordfish and a chicken / beef kebab - also perfect. No room for mains as we were so full.A jug of house red was inexpensive and very tasty. Thanks again!!!

Myself, wife and 5 year old eat here 21/7/19 - fantastic service, the pasta was amzing, the spagetti was a black colour, very tasty. The size of the garclic bread was huge! The swordfish was cooked to perfection and a house bottle of red was five euros. Would definetly return.

This is a lovely restaurant a bit off the beaten track in Cabanas, but worth seeking out. It's motto is "fun food and friendship" and that pretty well sums it up! We spend a lot of time in Cabanas and frequent the Jolly a lot. The food is,, we think, the
We had a lovely family meal here, sitting out in the courtyard on a very warm evening. I had the pork in mushroom sauce with potatoes and veg which was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese, my son had salmon which he demolished and my husband had melt in your mouth tuna.

Came here in a group of 12, service was great. Wasnât too expensive and the food was delicious. I stupidly thought it would be a good idea to experiment and try the carbonara pizza, wouldnât recommend. Everyoneâs food tasted amazing so no one to blame but myself. Loved the menu on the clipboard!
Where to eat Portuguese food in Cabanas: The Best Restaurants and Bars

It is a space with closed room, and discovered interior space (uncovered terrace). The food is typically Portuguese. Some dishes needs request days before. They can make up group lunches or group dinners, with special prices if the menu is previously chos
Mixed views on this place but overall feel it doesnât merit such a high rating. The staff are very pleasant, the setting delightful and the ambience very good. However, during the course of our meal the restaurant filled up and the three servers working could not give the covers sufficient attention which created long waits to get their attention and so forth.Owing to the number of reviews commending the steak we ordered two, peppered and the Algarve. The latter was disappointing. Despite being a filet it was quite stringy with fat and the accompanying vegetables which had been boiled were overdone and water laden. The baked potatoes had, for my taste, been drenched in salt which was a shame as Iâd opted for those over fries as it should have been a healthier option.

We are Mediterranean influinced restaurant, with quality fresh food and great service. We invite you to stop by for a great meal.
Outside seating is a bit like sitting in a car park. Worse food of our week in Cabanas by some way. If the Portuguese cannot get chicken Piri Piri right there must be something seriously wrong. Two hunks of chicken piled on the plate looked grim tasted worse. I had steak, again two big chunks half of which was inedible and other half very nice. Need to try harder!
