First visit here for lunch nice location in a quiet attractive pueblo. Great selection of varied European and eastern food fusion. We opted for vegetarian samosas, I had pizza my wife fish everything was good though thought pizza base a little too thick for my preference. Lovely tapas before our food of vegetarian spring rolls with our beer and wine. Staff lovely friendly and attentive. This place boasts evenings of music so we will be back. Good selection for vegetarians.

IN THE HIGH ALPUJARRA , presiding from Pitres THE VALLEY OF TAHA, EL JARDIN DEL MIRADOR. Located in a unique setting, this bar-restaurant will offer a selection of dishes INFLUENCE MEDITERRANEA you can taste contemplating SPECTACULAR SCENERY THAT SURROUND
On my last visit to El Jardin del Mirador some few years ago I had a wonderful experience and was a bit anxious as I walked into the beautiful shaded garden two weeks ago on realising there was a change of ownership. A new owner, a new experience and a very good one. Tasty tapas served by an attentive, cheerful and warm chef......I just had to return to celebrate my birthday the following week. No disappointment here. Delicious food and my impromptu 'birthday cake' was scrumptious and cleverly presented by Trani, the owner/chef. I would highly recommend visiting this oasis, if only once......

Set in the heart of the beautiful Alpujarran village of Capileira this little cafe-bar ticked all the boxes for a wonderfully simple and unpretentious lunch. We only had a couple of glasses of wine and some relatively straightforward bocadillos but even the simple things in life can sometimes go wrong...here they are done right, in a beautiful location and at a very fair price.

The restaurant is now called La Casa Angel. It is on the main street in Bubion just walk up the hill and it is on the left.if you walk through the bar and find a seat on the terrace the views are superb over the rooftops of the village. Ruta del Mulhacen Restaurant in Pampaneira offers traditional cuisine, which recalls the authentic alpujarrenian flavors of yesteryear. Some dishes are made with local and organic products to demonstrate the art of cooking in the Alpujarra. The menu encom
We popped in for a drink and a rest during a short visit to Pampaneira. This restaurant has the best views in the village across the valley and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Although you access it from the main road in the village it is up two flights of steps, so quite hidden and therefore quiet. We didn't eat there, but the food that other customers had looked excellent.Thank you very much for assessing our effort

The pizzas had lovely thin crusts and a good section of toppings available. Local wine was served by the glass. The waitress spoke no English which was a nice change and she cooed with our broken Spanish with a smile. Restaurant was very welcoming and had a nice family feel about it.

We had 2 pizzas here, one with ham and mushrooms and another one with grilled chicken, ham and bacon. They were great, you can feel the wooden touch and their ingredients are good. The service is very friendly and attentive. I learnt interesting facts about the village from them, such us why they have flat roofs when it snows a lot here. We loved the experience and we will come back.

Great little family run restaurant, with lots and lots of character, situated in a couple of typical mountain village houses, tucked away in one of the back streets of Pampaneira. You can sit outside in a narrow street, in a covered passageway between the houses or inside. We sat in the passageway which meant we were still outside but out of the sun. We went for the steak. On the menu it said it was big but when it came it was huge, it almost filled the whole plate. We were glad we had decided to have it between us. We asked for it to be cooked medium, but when we cut into it, it was very rare, so we sent it back. When it came back it was still medium rare but we did not have the heart to send it back again as 'Nan' the cook and the rest of her family had been so friendly and nice. Its obvious that the Spanish don't like to overcook their meat.Lovely meat very tender with real baked potatoes with a thick well cooked skin.Staff were really friendly even though non of them except Nan spoke English. But we managed fine. Great experience, not the best meal we have ever eaten but certainly on of the nicest and interesting places we have eaten. Just one suggestion they need to provide steak knives as the meat was very difficult to cut with the knives provided. To find the Bodega Asador El Lagar - Go to the Main Square / Church, standing in front of the church door look to the left hand corner of the square. See a path leading downhill with water running down the centre and narrow cobblestone path on each side. Go down to the very bottom of this path, at bottom see sign to supermarket pointing left, you turn right, go up a narrow street, the Bodega Asador is up this street on your right.

We stumbled across this restaurant after walking the town and decided to have lunch, it just happens to have numerous Michelin stars. The atmosphere sitting out on the terrace is gorgeous and the staff extremely attentive and friendly. We ordered grande cerveza and were served a delicious tapas to share. We ordered mains and both were incredible. I had a salmon fillet and my partner meat balls. The servings were judge and the flavours and herbs in each meal could be individually tasted and enjoyed. The food was fresh and incredible. I wish I could have fit in desert. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
