An authentic family run Italian restaurant. The food was very good as was the service. A very good wine list. Beware if ordering the Calzone, they are huge and I couldn't finish mine despite it being very tasty. It was still very busy well after 10 on a Saturday night.

Discover something new in a truly historic setting. Delicious dishes on an ever changing menu with French and Italian influences.
After a little research, I stumbled across Eight whilst planning our weekend visit to Bath. Booked a table on line with ease. What can I say! An absolute exquisite small restaurant which Iâm glad I booked for. Eight tables only in the main restaurant and catering downstairs for parties. Tucked down a smaller side street in central Bath, we found the restaurant in easy walking distances from where we were staying on the Royal Crescent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were all welcoming and happy to engage in conversation. The menu consisted of eight dishes with food supplied from local producers. A suggestion of wine (red and/or white) were on the menu for each dish and boy did they get this right! We took our daughter with us and for an eleven year old, she was also very impressed (not much impresses a pre teen these days!) with the selection. She had the plaice on seafood risotto. - cooked to perfection and served in a stunning lobster sauce, she devoured the lot.I had the roast lamb and all I have to say is wow! Cooked medium rare and served with croquet, roast potatoes and peas on a mint base topped with a beautiful jús. It melted. My husband had the rabbit which was served among baby carrot and kale, topped with a jús. He described it as tender and succulent with just the right accompaniment .Desert was also outstanding. The flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and the ice cream trios were a dream. An exquisite meal had by all of us and we canât recommend highly enough. Dear Guest,Thank you for your review. We were so happy to look after you and your family and are delighted that you enjoyed your evening with us. We hope to welcome you back to Eight again soon.

Simple, home made (not just home cooked) food. Good wine, decently priced. Excellent espresso coffee. Reasonably priced. Wonderful views over the Avon river, with more or less guaranteed kingfisher spotting. We had lasagne, spaghetti pomodoro, tiramisu. Simple, not too much, delicious. We will keep coming when weâve time passing through.

Booking is strongly recommended. Situated just a few steps away from the Roman Baths, our attractive and atmospheric restaurant is located in a charming candle lit historical cellar of natural Bath stone with vaulted ceilings throughout, and resembles the
We were not disappointed with our first visit here. There are always high expectations when a restaurant has such great reviews so itâs a joy when those reviews are clearly well deserved. We were met by lovely welcoming staff whoâs friendly and warm approach continued throughout the birthday lunch for our Son. He lives in Bath and was desperate to go having heard such good things about it.Itâs a great atmosphere in the stone walled cellar of one of Baths typical Georgian houses. It was quite hot in there despite it being rather cold and wet outside. We started with some King Prawn bruschetta which was simply divine and one had the mushroom which again was superb. My main course I really didnât want to come to an end. Penne with mushrooms, walnuts and Gorgonzola.....I can not tell you how amazing this dish was. The rest of our party each had something different and not one of us could do anything other than lavish praise for the food. We had some fabulous ice cream for dessert and the restaurant did a discrete Happy Birthday on a plate with a small candle in our Sons portion (he hates a fuss) so this was the perfect touch,The staff were attentive without crowding you, a perfect balance of impeccable customer service. We had an absolutely superb time there, wonderful food, thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back again.

The Bathwick Boatman is a tranquil slice of gastronomic heaven, located just 10 minutes stroll from Bath's city centre on the picture-perfect banks of the River Avon. Run by husband and wife restaurateur team Ben and Rosy Hall, the restaurant is set in an
Perfect location by the river with parking and out of the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful and service excellent. Really good Sunday lunch menu with 4 meat options, 1 fish and 2 vegetarian. Nice selection of puddings. We had the lamb, pork and chicken, all served with veg and Yorkshire puddings. The meat was really tasty with crispy potatoes and the veg were nicely cooked. Made a real change from the usual over cooked boiled veg and rubbery meat! Chocolate brownie was more like a cake than a brownie. A greater choice of ice creams would have been the icing on the cake as I donât like coconut and vanilla is not very exciting. Maybe next time!

Restaurant Hywel Jones, part of the Lucknam Park Hotel in Wiltshire, is a timelessly elegant Michelin-starred affair. Located in a listed Palladian mansion, the restaurant resides in the stately homeâs original ballroom. With magnificent chandeliers and V
Been waiting to go a long time but ended up vet disappointed. Lounge nice but full of casually dressed families having afternoon tea still when we arrived. Not sure why we were asked to arrive for 6.30 for our 7pm booking as canapés weâre nit served in the lounge. Nice cocktail but £16 each was expensive. We were then asked to go through to restaurant before finishing drink vans 10 minutes early but still no canapé. Waited 10 minutes for canapé and bread and water feeling like spares at a wedding Tasting menu nice but waiters were average. By course two our food and wine (paired tasting menu) were totally out of synch with wine arriving as plates empty!Food and wine good but service only ok. At end of meal we were just left. Offered no coffee nor the bill!Has to go to hotel reception for bill which was wrong. The taxi they orders didnât arrive and when they checked itâs been cancelled as they were busy on a Saturday!Second company ordered a taxi who decided to charge 3 x what weâd payed on way there. £70 for 16 miles and we were held to ransom or not go home.expected more from a a very expensive hotel and Michelin starred restaurant. Surely they gave strong partner relations. In the depths of Cornwall never an issue with s taxi from Restaurant Nathan Outlaw. Oh and toilets were NOT clean. Really disappointed Dear Corporate01Many thanks for visiting our Restaurant and for taking time to write feedback. My sincere apologies your visit was not to your full satisfaction.I have spoken to the team about your detailed feedback.Unfortunately we have no influence with the taxi companies and only requested a taxi after your dinner our usual companies were already booked and we had to call whoever was available. We were let down as much as you were and will not use the company in question again. You were offered complimentary drinks from our Duty Manager whilst you were waiting.I do hope that you will consider us for future booking and would be delighted to take care of your requirements.Kind regardsSakis

Avant-garde decor Coffee Shop and Restaurant in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Relaxing Coffee shop menu served in the lounge area, and fresh, honest food menu in the restaurant area. Sunday lunches with all the trimmings, plus large parties menus.
Stayed in one of the guest apartments for 3 nights, very comfortable. Ate breakfast each morning. Don't open until 09:30. Bit late for me.However, food and sevice was very good. The bar staff are tops, made me feel like I was the most important guest they had. It's a five star place, with all the staff working as a team. Will certainly use Greenhouse againHi Cliff,It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and have you visit us so often during your stay!We look forward too seeing you next year! Many thank you for such a lovely review, Emily & the Team Update: Just to let you know we now serve breakfast 9am-11.30am, 7 days a week.

This pub is massive and seems to be full of small rooms, the menu was a little pricy but of top quality, I had the steak sandwich that was very nice.

Finding no where to eat after 2.00pm Mother and Wild said they would be serving food at 5.O0. The young lady at reception was so very helpful and the restaurant looked interesting we decided to have a very late/ early lunch/dinner. So glad we did. All the staff were very pleasant, the restaurant had several eating areas, mainly filled with younger people. I rarely eat pizza but this time it was impossible not to it, it looked so inviting. A ham hock starter for my husband and a pork and fennel ragu for me were excellent. The pizza was for my husband but I just had to share, the best I have had ever, outside Florence! Thank you

This pub has recently undergone extensive renovation and redecoration, transforming it into one of Bath's most popular venues at which to eat, drink and stay. Having received AA recognition, quality and consistency is the focus in the kitchen, where every
This place is very conveniently located on main road. Car parking. Large garden with outside tables and play area for children. The restaurant is large and casual. The team is very young but attentive. It is easiest to order individual drinks from the bar and wine through waiter. Service is a bit slow so not sure how they would cope with very busy service. As we walked in even before we were shown to table we were advised of specials . This should have been done at the table as forgotten detail of specials by time seated and got menus. The menu has some interesting food combinations. All our meals were well cooked and tasty. Decent size portions. Pudding menu was less appealing. Not a romantic destination but good for group meals and would be perfectly happy if staying in a room ( not seen) to have this restaurant attached. Only criticism - the tartan carpet needed a good vacuum. It did not create a good first impression.
