Pizzeria Trattoria "Le fornaci" is located on the state road between Marostica and Vicenza and is a suitable place where you would like to stop if you fancy a pizza or a nice pasta without being ripped off, while travelling from the mountains to Dueville and its Highway access gate. There's plenty of seating a huge wood oven and easily available parking. The service by young waiters is efficient and nice and the food is good Italian quality. Several beers can accompany your food as well as Italian wines and in less than one hour you can be back in your car on your way but without a mac on your stomach.

We were staying in an AirBNB in Monte Berico and we found this small corner eatery after walking down the hill to down town for a Friday night dinner. We chose this spot because it was clean, well lit, and there were a few tables open. We also were tired and didn't want to walk another several blocks. Glad we chose this place!Yes, the pizza is fantastic. Plenty of choices so whatever you pick, you're going to enjoy it. For beer lovers, this place has a good selection of Mönchshof Bavarian beer. We chose a bottle of prosecco that was reasonably priced but not as cheap as you will find from local vineyards. Still, the value is there especially if you try to buy a bottle in Venice! We also ordered a great appetizer of black peppered mussels. Dessert was also fantastic. Couldn't miss a great chocolate soufflé and coconut ice cream for my wife. The price for our dinner was a good value. We will definitely return here as Vicenza is our new home town for the next few years. Ciao!grazie mille di cuore

The place is fantastic. Just attached to the Basilica Palladian, a stunning monument that releases a majestic atmosphere of the Vicenza important past. But the contrast with the very poor service of the restaurant destroyed the good sensations. I was there with international business guests and it was very hard to sustain the reliability and quality of our company service after choosing such a disorganized and not friendly place.Food was below average as well. The pizzas were not cooked enough, probably because they messed up their backing oven organization...

I am going to be brief. It was terrible. Everything served to all six of us. We waited a long time for anything to be served. After 90 minutes and inedible starters we asked for both the bill and the opportunity to speak to the chef. Although we could see him clearly behind the plate glass window separating the dining room and the kitchen, the waiter said he wasn't there. Well, ducking down below the level of the window does not constitute "not here." The place is a shambles and a sham. There is better food at almost anywhere else. AVOID THIS PLACE.Buongiorno, a questa patetica recensione non credo valga neanche la pena di rispondere in Inglese visto che non ha senso riferirsi o prendersela direttamente con un cliente che ha sbagliato totalmente ristorante e che per limitata cultura non ha capito dov'è finito. Il sottoscritto come Chef e titolare, in una situazione così unica e per fortuna rara, ha preferito non aumentare l'imbarazzo creato dai signori clienti che hanno offeso gratuitamente tutti i clienti di El Coq definendoli degli idioti che non capiscono assolutamente niente di cibo, quando il problema mi sembra ovviamente opposto. I signori non hanno aspettato 90 minuti ma hanno consumato l'aperitivo di benvenuto e la portata, molto importante per noi, del pane. Non mi dilungo in spiegazioni inutili che non servono, visto che, io ed il mio team lavoriamo quotidianamente non per essere insultati da persone con assenza di cultura gastronomica ma per i nostri clienti che vogliono vivere un'esperienza all'interno di El Coq.Sono però molto offeso con una struttura come TripAdvisor che per l'ennesima volta si presenta solamente come una macchina da soldi ai danni dei ristoratori senza tutela. Una struttura mediatica che gioca con i soldi altrui, dimenticando che se questo portale esiste è solo attraverso sacrifici e investimenti che di tasca nostra facciamo, senza però essere minimamente ascoltati anzi, pure oscurati e censurati!Vergognatevi. Wonderful discovery! Pretty far from the main Venetian cities, the restaurant is definitely worth the trip. The large presence of customers on a Monday evening demonstrates it.Davide, son of the owner, has been a very professional host and led us with the appropriate pace through what can reasonably be considered as a dream for a fish lover!We have gone through a long suite of wonderful sea dishes that have in common the freshness and the outstanding quality of their ingredients. Ranging from raw to fried fishes, we went through many variations including sarde in saur and a splendid spaghetti alla bottarga.The wine list is well made (++), with an outstanding selection of "natural" wines (+++), at reasonable prices (+++). You are offered three possibilities ranging from restaurant to Cafe (++) and the hotel that looks pretty nice if you prefer to stay overnight (+++). Service was gentle and smiling, attention to the host was splendid. Davideâs wine suggestions were perfect and we ended by a cacao feve tasting and an outstanding rum! A Brazilian cigar brought the final touch to a wonderful dinner we had the pleasure to share with wonderful persons.Looks at the photos, no words to add! Just book and rush.Quality wine producers are in my view the best source when it comes to restaurant. We had the pleasure to join the covibio producers at the end of their Verona's wine exhibition day. It made it easier to taste a large variety of plates.

We dropped in here out of curiosity and ended out getting Bacalao lasagna, duck ragu (which we put on tagliatelle) plus some mortadella and culatello ham, which we brought back to our Airbnb. All excellent quality and delicious. Staff really helpful and friendly too! Tried to go again two days later but it was Sunday and just closing. Boo boo.

This is my second stop at this restaurant. It's a land mark in the area for its codfish cooked in the Vicentina way. The menu offers a selection of starters and main courses based on codfish, salmon or meat. It's a available a lunch work menu at a affordable price. The environment is modern and inspired by the Scandinavian style. The staff is welcoming and helpful.

Loved everything about this place, from the happy smiley staff to the unique way they bring the fresh fish out to show you. I settled for spaghetti bolognaise. It was divine.
