Excellent coffee and wonderful croissants. I particularly recommend the apricot croissant which was delicious. There was also a great selections of salads and Italian pastries for another time. The cafe had a good atmosphere and charming and attentive staff. It is just off the main street and should not be missed. Hi Rose marieThank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. I will be sure to pass your appreciation to our staff. Ana

French delicatessen and bistro in Tenterden High Street - A taste of France in the Jewel of the Weald. Selling French cheeses, cold meat, patés, wines, &c.
We visited in May. It was just an okay experience. Very tiny inside - only three tables of seating - the other half of the restaurant was a sofa and perhaps a couple of easy chairs. This would not be recommended as wheelchair accessible because of the size of the restaurant. The decor was very tired and forlorn - I'm not sure they'll be in business much longer as there were no other guests but us and we were there 45 minutes to an hour. And Tenterden was bustling that day so it wasn't because of a lack of potential customers.I had the cheese croissant which amounted to a croissant with a small bit of cheese melted on top. It was very dry - the scant amount of cheese was hard from being overcooked. I had to take a drink every time I ate a bit of the croissant in order to wash it down. The others in our party seemed okay with their small meals though I don't think anyone raved about it. My particular problem besides the very tired and somewhat grungy decor (they cook upstairs and the stairs are carpeted and appear very dirty) as well as the very dry croissant (I thought because this was French that the croissant would be especially memorable but it was very forgettable - I've purchased better in a grocery store) was the hovering owner of the restaurant. Because it is so tiny in the restaurant he was seldom further away than six feet. It felt very encroaching. At one point he sat himself at one of the tables right near us.It was just a very weird experience. I would not choose to visit again, even if they manage to stay open.

A modern British restaurant with an ever-changing menu using the best local and seasonal produce. The focus is on flavour, for food lovers in a relaxed setting.
A charming restaurant with excellent cuisine and friendly service from the owner herself. The wine list was varied and both bottles we tried (the Portuguese red and the Italian Nero) went perfectly with the carpaccio and lamb cutlets respectively. We didnât try everywhere in Cranbrook but nothing we did came close to The Cloudberry.

In Italy "La Cantina" or "L'Enoteca" is the local wineshop where you can buy and taste the excellences of the wine combined with little treasures of the italian cusine. The most luxury "Cantine' serve specific and tasty food as well in order to emphasize
What a wonderful find, a bijou bistro on Tenterden High Street. We had the sharing board, followed by prawn pasta and baby squid risotto which was clearly freshly prepared and delicious. Followed by yummy deconstructed Tiramisu. Finally an authentic Italian. Highly recommend, but do book as was full all night, understandably.

We had a wonderful meal whilst reminiscing about our memories of living in this house 52 years ago (previously a greengrocer's) and seeing how it has been transformed into delightful restaurant. A special 60th birthday treat that was emotional and accompanied by delicious food and our hosts care and interest in recollections. Would love to bring back the whole family. Thanks to all of you at Apicius.

First visit as staying overnight in Tenterden. Great welcome, excellent service and delicious food. Staff very attentive and fantastic food. Would not hesitate to recommend- especially the mixed grill, the swordfish and the rice pudding! We decided it is worth another trip from Leatherhead!

Fresh ingredients cooked to order - locally sourced wherever possible. We love whatever is in season!
The Three Chimneys is an atmospheric pub with very good food. Sadly, the overnight rooms have extremely thin walls & our neighbours in the room next to Partridge are - presumably unwittingly - sharing with us both their musical taste & their views on life, the universe & everything. Not what you expect in a place that charges this much. If, like us, you seek a peaceful country idyll, avoid Three Chimneys as a place to stay

It's been several years since we've visited The West House and the six course tasting menu which we relished yesterday evening has filled us with regret that it has taken us so long to return. Last night Graham Garrett was inspired creating flavour combinations and textures which were mind-blowing and very special indeed and we were still reminiscing about our dinner as we drove home this morning after an overnight stay in one of the restaurant's four comfortable bedrooms.Whilst the food is the star the wine list was pretty interesting too with some well chosen and intriguing bottles. The service is pleasantly casual and attentive but never obtrusive. We just loved our evening and we look forward to going back!
