Reviews on European food in Biarritz, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. A stylish beach town on France’s southwestern coast, Biarritz was once the vacation spot for nobility and is now Europe’s surfing capital. It’s experienced a tourist renaissance—summers are busy. Biarritz lacks the Riviera’s glitz, but you’ll see affluent vacationers in designer gear and surfers in flip-flops, and hear French, Spanish and Basque. The Grande Plage is the center of the action. Behind it, visit the restored, Art Deco casino and wander the streets down to the old port to the west.

Avant gard restaurant serving small portions but great visual presentation on all of the dishes. Several amuse bouches were served as well. My boyfriend started with a cauliflower broth over foie gras that was superb. For his plat, he had a fish dish with numerous accoutrements (beets, vanilla foam, etc.) that on their own were each well prepared and I am sure a lot of work went into its preparation. However, in his opinion it was not a well composed bite because the vanilla seemed out of place and did not compliment the fish and other flavors ingredients. I enjoyed the crab entrée which was beautifully presented and delicious. For my plat I had the roasted veal, which was cooked to perfection, tender and tasty. We give the restaurant high grades for trying and would recommend it. The service is excellent.

According to the sign on the door and Trip Advisor this place was open. When we arrived we were told simply « fermée ». No désolée or explanation, just brusque clear off this lunch time. Having been past it a few times since, it looked empty on each occasion. Negative review.

Was walking about in Biarritz looking for somewhere for a family to eat and took to Google for recommendations. Le CAB kept coming up so eventually dragged some very tired kids a little further in the sun than they wanted to walk to arrive at Le CAB. Well worth it. Delicious burgers, best we've tasted with an excellent choice of types. Service was friendly and fast and their in house version of 'fries' also are a must. Left very satisfied and happy customers. Highly recommended for a visit.

We were warmly welcomed, and managed to get by on our broken French. This is a casual spot, with a family-owned vibe. We ordered the fish of the day, and the duck breast with fries. I must say, the duck was cooked perfectly -- rich and tender.

Thank you Eric and Jackie for a wonderful evening, merci. We have thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and it is right up there with the best meals we have had. This is a very nice restaurant, with a discreet atmosphere and wonderful food. Smoked fish at its best. Nest time we visit the area we will definitely go back!

Restaurant chaleureux tenu par deux jeunes du pays basque ou les produits locaux sont cuisinés de façon originale et instinctive!! Un seul mot d'ordre "etxean bezala" ( comme a la maison)
Food was incredible, starters were so good we ordered 6 of them being only 3 adults, main courses were excellent too. Staff was adorable, having a baby with us they found a table we could use with the stroller nearby. Wine was perfect too.I really canât understand how people complain about this place, they did their best, knew their menu and advised greatly for wine! Weâre coming back!

Really good dinner in Biarritz - we had a stopover in Biarritz for one night, before we started the Camino de Santiago so we were looking for a nice dinner as there was 8 of us. I struggled to find anything on the internet that looked any good, so was really pleased when I found L'Entre Deux. Exactly our sort of place - casual, friendly, small restaurant, serving top notch quality food. Small menu but everything they did was exquisite, and service was great too. Thank you!

We offer for lunch : Our sandwiches on crusty bread , salads, seasonal dishes , slate cheese and desserts. For the evening : We are on a concept of meals cheeses , slates ( for 1 person) with salad , candied and wines that can be granted to each cheese an
This was much, much smaller than we anticipated - basically a few tables next door to the cheese shop. Nevertheless we decided to trust the TA reviews, and were glad we did. This place does what it does very well - cheese and wine only. Don't go with a non-cheese lover thinking there will be something else on offer - there really won't be!I had the cheapest assiette on offer - all very pleasant and mild. Husband had the next one up which was a bit more feisty and included a good blue cheese.Service was good.

This a lovely restaurant that gives an impression of intimacy without being cramped. The cooking is absolutely first class. We shared a starter platter of home made foie-gras, rillettes and lightly smoked duck breast, followed by delicate, perfectly cooked trout with sea vegetables. Service is personal and charming. We would have come twice if we had had more days in Biarritz.
