Modern and stylish but overly geared to taking orders and serving without guest engagement. I watched, enviously, the style and engagement of staff and interesting food and its presentation at the adjacent "Empriente" restaurant and wished I'd gone there instead. Dix Vins is not bad but could be better with more style and engagement.

Fabulous, one minor issue dealt with swiftly and efficiently by the fabulous waitress. Outstanding cuisine, real food art. We will return, thanks

In the center of the old town of Bergerac, you find this charming restaurant. On the menu, fresh and local food, and dishes inspired by the traditional french cuisine with a touch of modernity. welcome to the St Jacques restaurant...
Our second visit to Bergerac but the first to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel which proved to be exceptional. The chef and waiting staff could not have been more patient or enthusiastic about the menu. Turnip ravioli, really? Go for it , amazing. Between the four of us we tried nearly the whole menu and we still want more. If only we werenât going home.

I was disappointed by this visit. The first restaurant I tried in Bergerac. Service was not great. The salade de Périgord was just too big - I love gesiers but not that much and the dressing wasnât great

Recommended by our host, LâImparfait didnât disappoint. Although we didnât have a booking we were accommodated at one of the outside tables - on a narrow Bergerac lane - great atmosphere. A wine waiter gave his experience and recommendation in choosing a suitable wine and attended to us throughout the evening. The food we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious to eat. Small additional touches, such as an amuse bouche and regular offers of fresh, warm bread rolls added to the luxurious feel of the meal.

Back again to one of our favorite restaurant in Bergerac. Excellent food if you like different taste and well presented. If you want steak and chips or usual english meal forget it ,this place is for people who like trying different taste and texture. NOT a place for children... plus quite small so can be noisy in the evening. Great chef with a smile! The staff this time was not as good as before but then may be it was a new person...everybody can have a ..day off sometime!

Found this little restaurant tucked away behind some bigger venues while visiting Bergerac with a group of friends. The owner took time to sit with us and talk us through the concept and the menu, although a vegetarian option wasn't listed there was one available. The food was faultless I had the seabass risotto which was perfectly cooked and bone free, others in the group had burger, duck, lamb and vegetarian options containing tofu. All were delicious. The concept of adding your choice of dish to a plate with side salad, melon and a shot glass of hot vegetable soup was fun and one dish was plenty for us making a good value meal at 10 euro a head. Everything about this place was a treat the owner even freed up some space in a little room at the side of the kitchen for us as the main restaurant was full and the weather was poor.

We had looked at TA the evening before we visited Bergerac & decided this was the place for lunch. We had a boat trip on the river which finished at just after 1.00pm and walked up from the river only to be told that lunch was finished when we arrived at 13.25 !! Unthinkable of course in the U.K. when you would always be fine up to 2.00 pm and often beyond but I assume they must be doing very well if they can afford to turn folks away when itâs only mid way through lunchtime (most of the shops donât reopen until 3.00pm) and they have vacant tables.

We were meeting friends for lunch whilst on holiday and they chose this restaurant as our midway meeting point so it was a little pot luck that we got somewhere good. Wow! what a choice they made. This is an excellent restaurant, very welcoming and friendly staff and a gorgeous view over the river of the old town of Bergerac. The menu isn't large but the food was all superb - all four of us thought our meals were delicious. The dishes have been well thought out, full of flavours and ingredients that compliment each other.I understand this is a relatively new business which makes our experience all the more impressive. We'll definitely be back on a future visit!

Really pleased with this restaurant. Beautiful intimate setting.Melanie, as front of house, was welcoming and offered a calm, unhurried approach to service. She also helped me practice my French speaking, which I duly massacred. Courses were presented at a pace where we didn't feel rushed and were given amuse bouche and had some great haznut wine before we started. The food itself was superb and was presented really, really well. Simple ingredients were elevated to a high standard. The gnocchi dish in particular was a big surprise. Finally, the price was very reasonable especially given that we had an amazing evening chatting to each other for more than two hours. I felt more like a guest than a customer, which is what skilled hospitality is about.Would go again.6/5
