Dined here during our stay at the resort. The restaurant is spacious and very tastefully decorated and the staff are polite and helpful. Wine prices are high but the Cote du Rhône (white and red) were nevertheless excellent. We started with their signature dish of tomato soup which is served flambé at the table. To be honest it just tasted like a good store bought tomato soup - perhaps I was expecting more. The other starter was tiger prawns which were delicious and the better choice. We had hoped to have a crisped artichoke risotto for the main course but despite this being on the menu at the hotel reception and website we were informed that they had introduced a new red wine risotto that day. We pointed out that the website menu needed updating and we were promised that would happen. Two days later the website was still showing the old menu.So we ate steak which was excellent but regretted that we were unable to sample the artichoke risotto as this would have shown how well the chef cooked.

we have complimentary breakfast included into our hotel stay. The selection of breakfast is good, from local to western food. i enjoyed my breakfast especially the omelette. Everything is good except the noodle soup, too sweet to my liking. The coffee is great as well. I think if there is fresh juice would be great.

Staying at the ParkRoyal we enjoyed our breakfasts in Cinnamon which were varied and extremely tasty. So many choices. The Asian Kitchen evening meals were extensive the menu was a temptation to try it all. A great atmosphere with very friendly staff.

And we werenât disappointed! Nice service from the staff although the facilities are very basic and the food was very tasty. We had the satay which came in a very big portion and the sweat and sour sea bass (pictured) as well as a portion of pineapple fried rice to share. Everything was very well cooked and extremely delicious. I also had a carrot juice which was mixed with condensed milk and was lovely although too rich to have very often! Apparently juice with condensed milk is the normal way they serve it, so ask for no milk if you want just juice. A really nice example of Penangâs âno frillsâ street food and would definitely recommend it.
