We had dinner here whilst visiting Avignon recently, having picked this restaurant because its reasonably-priced set menu looked so interesting, and included vegetarian options, which can be quite rare on set menus in France. We were not disappointed! The set menu, priced at 22Euro for 3 courses, included 2 choices of starter (both veggie), 4 choices of main (inc. one veggie, one fish) and 3 desserts - which represents more choice than many similarly priced set menus. The food was absolutely wonderful, with delicious combinations of flavours. The emphasis was on local dishes and ingredients. Service was friendly and relaxed, and we loved the atmosphere, seated on the pavement in this typical Avignon street in the centre of town - convenient and lively, but quieter and less obviously touristy than the main square.

My family took me here for my 60th birthday. What a treat! The restaurant is located down a passageway on an indoor terrace. It is a somewhat unique location, away from the bustling crowds in the city, but still in the centre. There is an indoor dining area, but the owner explained that they don't use this unless people want to move inside. They don't want to overcrowd the restaurant and make it a less pleasant experience for their customers. The food was of really good quality. My tournedos steak was the best I've ever eaten, and the lamb was tasty and tender. The service was efficient, polite and friendly. It's not cheap here, but not that expensive for the quality of the cuisine. I really don't mind paying a bit more for food of such a high standard. In short, it was a superb dining experience, in a lovely setting, and a great way to celebrate my birthday.

We spent one night in Avignon and wanted to choose very carefully the restaurant we will dine at. After a long search we decided to choose Pollen, which looked very promising. We were not disappointed. The space is very pleasant and relaxing. Staff was very nice and helpful. The chef served few of the dishes himself and the food and wine were absolutely great. We donât eat meat and asked the restaurant if they can accommodate our dietary restrictions. They said it is not a problem. We took the 6 courses menu with a bit of hesitation since we were afraid The chef would prepare us a âcompromiseâ dishes. All the dishes served were perfectly made with 4 different types of fish. We highly recommend the experience.

Restaurant full of charm,cosy.
Sometimes TripAdvisor needs that 6th star. This place deserves it. The Michelin sign sure helps. We stopped here for lunch on a Monday. No reservation we arrived close to noon (open 12-2 for lunch) and got a nice table. The place is small, very simple, clean but very contemporary decor. We each chose the lunch special: main with dessert for 20â¬. You can order from the menu but we thought, letâs make it simple. I had the cod over tomato creamed polenta while she chose pork over peas, green beans, and chorizo. Both were heavenly! The dessert of the day was fresh figs, slices of orange and grapefruit over mascarpone with orange sauce and a scoop of lemon ice. There are no words to describe this dessert. Sublime. Our servers were very good and the mood is very pleasant, not stuffy. We chilled, they treated us to amazing food. How can you not enjoy life in Avignon!

Went here after some hours of shopping. First off; Avignon is a beautiful and romantic city. I allways use this app finding a restaurant, and this restaurant soon draw my attention; the simplicity but good quality. Itâs located in a small alley, which we found really nice. We visited with our two kids. Since our kids our much about simple pasta and fried goods, we asked the waitress if some ajdustments good be made to the pasta which was on the menu (the original pasta with cury and nuts looked very good, but experimenting is not something our kids do easily). Me and my wife shared the biscuit with pesto and peas, had the steak tuna with vegetables and a mixed fish cury. The kids shared the pasta - served with butter and parmesan and had the french steak. The tuna - medium cooked -and the vegetables were cooked very, very good. The mixed fish cury was fine, simple thai dish. The pasta the kids had was just like described- with cheese and some oil; nothing more nothing less. The beef steak was tender and tasted very nice. The vegetables which came with it- especially the haricots verts were perfectly cooked. We had a white wine, which tasted fine. They charged the original 13 euro for the pasta the kids had. That is too expensive for just pasta and cheese. The rest of the of the prices are good though. The service is good. Overall we had a very nice experience and would recommend it.

This is an excellent restaurant serving traditional Provencale cuisine at very reasonable prices. You can sit inside (well-airconned) or out (on a not very interesting street). The fixed price menus are great value. If you intend to see the son et lumiere show at the Palais at 2130H, let the staff know when you arrive and they will serve your courses so there is no rush at the end.,

I keep track of my top 5 restaurants I have visited world wide. 12 years in the making. From Marmalade in Puerto Rico to Sensi in Barcelona. But itâs been years since I have had a chance to announce a new favorite. La cuisine du Dimanche. Wow. Husband and wife buy this restaurant from the prior owners nearly 4 years ago. The prior owners would only sell to this couple that would continue the tradition. And they have done so and moreGreat wine list. Great service. (My wife orders the seasonal vegetables as her entree only to find out they were beets. They quickly changed it out to a fabulous purée of carrots and grilled vegetables. It was crazy good.). The risotto was amazing as was the duck. Everything was truly crazy good which puts it now in my top 5 world wide. DO yourself a favor. Dine here!Merci d'avoir pris le temps de vous arrêter chez nous et de partager votre avis. Au plaisir de vous servirPauline et Mathieu

We were recommended of this place for dinner from our host, who also suggested us to book. But we did not, instead we went there early around 6.30 pm as we found in the TripAdvisor that this place opens earlier than others. The place looked pretty, small and very welcomed. We were the first guests, the lady speaks both English and French. She is very nice, polite and explained the foods so well. We had a very lovely evening and perfect meals, would love to come back if have a chance. Not long, the restaurant was full. We were so lucky to find this gem.

We came to Barbentane to visit the castle but were disappointed to find it closed. That disappointment was erased by finding Le Saint Jean. Their menu of the day was delicious incorporating provençal notes into traditional French cuisine. Good food, good service, and a pleasant environment made it a good day.
