A modern contemporary suburban bar located on Main Street, Ballincollig offering a large range of food and drink in comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Catering for all manner of parties and functions.
Hi I recently called to Tradehouse for dinner on evening of great family trip. I ordered chicken, mash and milk for my daughter. I ordered a burger and my husband got fish and chips. We ordered approx 540 and by 625 we still had no food...not even our daughters milk. We asked where food was to be told hers was ready but burger was to take another 10 min. A nearby table had come in after us but had received their food by now. We couldn't understand how anyone would let a toddler wait so long for food , we cancelled our order but asked to bring our little girls straight away also had to ask agaib for her milk. Who makes a small child wait so long? We asked to speak to the manager who was so dismissive and just said that's how long burgers take. He was in no way bothered we had spend almost an hour there and left with no food. To add insult to injury he left two complimentary drinks vouchers with our bill. Totally ruined a lovely day trip and left a sour...and hungry taste in my mouth.

Every time I go to this restaurant, the food doesn't disappoint me and even the service is great. It just needs an update of their place, seems outdated and the toilet is broken and dirty.Location wise - very good as well.

We recently visited here with our family who live close by. It was late afternoon and we had just traveled 2 hours. I didnât want a big meal so I asked could I get a double portion of the pasta that was on the childrenâs menu. I didnât ask for any part of the menu to be changed. Just a double portion. The answer was âNoâ. That was it. I said ok Iâll have the child portion so. A small portion of pasta (not fresh pasta) 3 tiny pieces of chicken topped with a spoonful of red sauce, completely cold. When my husband went to pay the manager he told him what happened. His reply was âWe donât change our menu for customersâ. He couldnât have been any more rude. While I was standing there beside my husband he actually said heâs âsheâs a picky eaterâ. This restaurant has had awards in the past, I think they are well out of date by now. The food is in general is average and the pub is not exactly spotless and is out dated. Couldnât recommend it.The childrenâs menu is for children only. The pastaâs not fresh pasta as you stated but itâs there for children who donât want anything else on offer. A stop gap if you will. Not our specialty in the least. We simply donât have the time, nor the inclination. Everything else we do though is made from scratch. Letâs just say pastaâs not exactly coursing through our veins. Moreover we keep the salt content down to an absolute minimum for children so the dishes are not suited to an adult palate.Perhaps all this was lost in translation. I will most definitely be addressing the front of house team with this complaint. Though Iâm having difficulty understanding why you insisted on eating a childâs pasta dinner when thereâs such a range of choice on the main menu. Thereâs certainly no such thing as a flat âNo.â here. And nobody said, âWe donât change our menus for our customers.â We simply do not possess the Gallic flair to pull that one off. Honestly Iâd give it a go, but it be would just hilarious. Furthermore my brother Richie, to whom your husband was speaking, assures me that he did not refer to you as âa picky eater.â It was in fact your husband who said this. We will continue to bend over backwards for anybody with special requirements or needs, no matter how unusual. For instance one of our chefs is busy right now preparing a vegetarian pie with a side of sausages (all sausagetarians welcome by the way). Some vegans came in unannounced a few weeks ago in the middle of a crazy Saturday service and we were only too delighted to put a few dishes together for them. People often come in looking for half portions and weâre more than happy to oblige where possible. Honestly nothing is too much trouble. We certainly do our level best to please. Thereâs no harder working, more dedicated kitchen team out there. Weâre never happy to stand still. We are only too aware that weâre only as good as our last meal served. Nobodyâs resting on any laurels out here. And thereâs certainly no screaming prima donnas. Believe you me my mother would clip them around the ear! Weâve got too many small mouths to feed. Iâve got three rapscallions myself. They love their food by the way. Theyâve a particular fondness for shellfish. Costing me a fortune! Our kids menu doesnât quite cut it for them. In fact the more adventurous children out there often stray on to the adults menu. Nothing more satisfying than seeing a child tuck into a bowl of our delicious mussels, or go for one of our goat cheese, smoked salmon & creamed leek tartlets (incidentally, my favourite in betweeny snack and dinner item). In short weâre striving every single day to build something that we want to hand down to our next generation (God, help them!). And please donât be afraid to present us with any special requests or requirements. We will always endeavour to please. I just honestly wouldnât go for the pasta.

This Wonderfully Traditional Irish Pub & Restaurant offering Boutique Accommodation is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Blarney Co. Cork. A second generation family owned and run property offering a typical Irish welcome to all customer
We had dessert and drinks here while in Blarney. They are very busy so it took a long time for the servers to come to our table and they rarely checked on us, even by Irish standards. The desserts were ok and drinks were good. At the end we asked for water. My sister took a few sips and then realized that there was bright pink lipstick marks on the glass... she does not wear lipstick. Thankfully this was at the end and we had already eaten our food or else we may not have been able to stomach it. You have to go up to the bar to pay; they do not give you a receipt/ticket to take up there. Not took many choices in Blarney to eat.Dear Ashlee, I was shocked and dismayed upon reading your review, and I would like to apologise unreservedly, we obviously did not reach our usual high standards on this occasion. Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention, I can assure you that I have made all our staff and management aware of your complaint.SincerelyRuth O Connor

We had dinner there last night and what I can say?! Well...the quality of the food is ok, we had a starter and I must be honest: all products were from Italy for sure. We also had pizza margherita and tiramisu...here we got upset. First of all: no one italian use balsamic vinegar and rocket as toppings!!! Please!!! Tiramisu was weird, I dunno if it was the cream or the way how it was made. Italian restaurant with Irish revisiting!

Whenever I take a trip to Cork I go out of my way to fit in a visit. Always welcoming and friendly, assertive staff. Comfortable seats to spend time enjoying the delicious toasted sandwiches, a sausage roll (too nice not to get!) and a great cup of coffee (badger & dodo). I would also highly recommend the treats of which I've tried many but if I had to choose 1, no make that 2, I would suggest picking up a salted caramel brownie and a slice of carrot cake and then a biscuit cake to go for later (actually 3!). I love the biscuit cake so much so that I ordered the Christmas Biscuit Cake Pudding to enjoy over last Christmas which was nicely packaged and great value. I will hopefully be down in Cork to visit again soon!

We were delighted to get a table at what is normally a booked out restaurant in Blarney. Very welcoming and accommodating for children. All food was well cooked and very tasty. It's definitely a reason to visit Blarney.

Visited last year & had a meal quickly forgotten, gave it another chance this year as the reviews generally continue to be positive & wondered if weâd just made bad choices, but definitely wonât be going back again. Chowder was overly salty, bacon special was dry & over cooked. Dishes on other tables looked heavy on the grease. Final chance, not to be repeated.
