Found this hidden place during our walk through Assens and stopped for coffeee and cake. Was very good so came back next day for lunch. Which was also good. So good we came next evening for dinner. Very good food and service, not something fancy but nice and tasty. Can especially recommmend the typical Ãggekage med flæsk :-)

We are travelling around Denmark and accidentally ended up in this beautiful little town. The service at Gardhaven was amazing. She was more than accomodating for the fact we spoke no Danish. We both ordered a pasta and really enjoyed the meal. The price was also very good especially after spending time in Copenhagen. Highly recommend!

Twice a year the cafe @Gl Avernaes invites to giant cake table for the afternoon Its fantastic - the homebaked pastry is the best Ive ever tasted And you can eat as much as you have ever dreamt of (cake dreams) This is horrifying lovely... And after coffe, chocolate and...thé, you can take a BEAUTIFUL walk in the fantastic nature surroundings next to the water

We had a great lunch based on things from small local supplieres. It was very good and the service was very nice. Both adults and kids enjoyed it all. We will for sure come back and try some of the other dishes or the takeaway.Thanks, looking forward to see you again

Looking for a coffee place in Assens. Look no further. Go to the Bank (danish: banken). Yes its an old bank, now a cafe. Nice service and good coffee. Husband liked the cake
