Wir sind als Paar aufgrund seines Besitzerwechsels und der vielen Lobreden im Bekanntenkreis eingekehrt. Es war ein schöner warmer Sonntag am Beginn des Sommers. Das Haus und der Biergarten waren schon gegen 19 Uhr zu 80% gefüllt. Einen Sitzplatz fanden wir im Garten. Nach ca. 15 min würden wir von einem Kellner entdeckt, der den Getränkewunsch aufnahm und nach weitern 10 min. Kamen auch die Getränke. Wir fragten nach der Speisekarte, die dieser Kellner seiner Aussage auch bringen wollte. Danach geschah eine Stunde lang nichts mehr. Es kamen weitere Gäste und andere sofort wieder weil schon überfüllt. Wir versuchten einen Kellner an den Tisch zu bekommen um etwas zu Essen zu bekommen. Vergeblich. Gäste die nach uns gekommen sind, hatten ihr Essen bereits auf und sind schon gegangen. Wir beobachteten wie die Kellner mit vollen Tellern aus der Küche kamen und keiner wusste wo die Bestellung hin musste. Nach 90 min und totaler Ignoranz jeglichen Services entschlossen wir das Lokal zu wechseln. Nicht einmal das Zahlen der Getränke war möglich. Immer nur "ja gleich" als Antwort. Nach dem dritten Mal bin ich direkt zur Theke um zu zahlen. Dort wurde ich den Inhaber zugeführt, der mich händeringend zum Bleiben überreden wollte. Ich habe so ein kundenvernachlässigendes Verhalten noch nie erlebt. Hier wird null Professionelles Arbeiten mit Gästen gelebt, warum kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Vermutlich Ãberforderung. Schade, denn ist ist ein schönes Fleckchen an dem dieses Haus steht.

De meeste restaurants langs de snelweg kun je beter voorbij rijden. Hier zit een MacDonalds - die ik altijd voorbij rij - en iets in het Texaco. Verborgen achter de MacDonalds zit echter een bowlingbaan met café/ restaurant. Een goede Mexican burger (EUR 8) - maar de cordon bleu voor EUR 9,50 was ver boven verwachting. Erg groot - prima aardappelkroketten en salade erbij. Erg blij dat we hier gestopt zijn - en met de vriendelijke bediening en prijzen - zodanig dat het de moeite waard was om dit met anderen te delen!

Our 2nd lunch in the German countryside and it is very enjoyable!The facilities are traditional German countryside; heavy and dark. The service is good and competent. The food can vary a bit in quality but the German (and Balkan) classics are of good quality and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit as long as this is what you are looking for.

First off, this restaurant is actually open on Mondays, something which many of the other restaurants in the city are not. It was completely busy the entire time we were there (arrive at 18:00 if you don't have a reservation as it gets full fast), with fantastic service, food, drinks, prices, and atmosphere. I honestly haven't eaten at a restaurant this good in a long time, and would not hesitate to return.

We visited on a very hot evening and decided to take the drive out from where we were staying, just outside of Münster. It is in a pretty remote location but as we had no bikes, we had to drive. It is well worth the effort.We arrived to find the car park full, which we took as a great sign. It means it's worth travelling for. We walked to the beer garden, which was full. We had a quick chat with the waiter and he found us a space at a table with another couple. The menu was full of seasonal, local dishes, all of which sounded amazing. I chose Paula's Broad Beans with Mettwurst, Speck and fried potatoes. My husband had schnitzel with mushroom sauce. The broad beans were incredible. So tasty....and the sausage was really smoky and firm. I am so pleased I chose that dish. I would have it again in a heartbeat.We had no room for dessert. There were wines on the menu and they had lots of beers but they weren't listed on the menu.I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Contrary to the other reviews here we found the service excellent: frank but friendly and fast service staff. We came at 10pm because other places closed at this time and were looking for a drink and some small snack. I liked the place instantly because when we entered I asked the staff "what time are you closing" and received the straight answer: "when it ends". Gave me the feeling we were really welcomed and they'd look after us. You don't get this everywhere these days... The place was really well maintained, excellent ambience and even spacious clean toilets. Needless to mention the food and drinks were top and we had a fantastic night. Thanks guys, you deserve top ratings! Keep it up!

Wir waren in den letzten 2 Jahren ca. 30 mal bei Freitag, da wir eine Zeit lang keine Küche hatten. Das Essen ist wirklich spitze ich habe die Karte hoch und runter gegessen und auch die saisonale Karte probiert. Es war nicht ein Gericht dabei was schlecht zubereitet war, im Gegenteil, die Gerichte waren immer frisch und hervorragend abgeschmeckt und gewürzt. So ein Essen in Münster zu dem Preis zu finden fällt schwer!

We (my 1. Lady and me) habe been there already for 3 times. In my opinion it is one of the leading Restaurants in Muenster.It got better from time to time. Meal choice limited to set menu as we were a business party of 10+. Food was well presented and well cooked... Only downside was it was uninspiring... Could have been eating anywhere in the world... A nod to Germany with regard to ingredients or dishes would have been nice..

I had been craving some paella for several months, but finding a restaurant that was willing to prepare such a meal for anything less than ten people. El Flamenco was willing to do so for our party of five people, so we eagerly jumped on the opportunity. It is located in Hiltrup--a suburb south of Muenster. Parking is available next to the nearby supermarket. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with typical Spanish/Mediterranean decor, and a very friendly wait staff. The paella itself was fish-based (they also offer a chicken/pork-based version), and was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly complemented each other. Everybody in our dinner party agreed that the paella was authentic and close to what one would receive in Spain. We really enjoyed our evening at this restaurant and plan on being back before long.
