Introducing an organic approach to food, focussing on quality and innovative menu options to create an amazing food experience for all. Set in beautiful gardens, tastefully decorated with a fantastic ambience for a tantalising journey.
Having been in Arusha a few days, a friend recommended Butter and Scotch as a place to go and get first class service at a great price. So I decided to visit yesterday and was blown away by the cafe and it's ambiance. I felt like i was sat in a 5star cafe overlooking beautiful gardens with wild deer roaming around. The food was amazing. I ordered coffee and cake,a eggless cookie and I also tried a smoothie. Everything was fresh and made on site with all fresh ingredients. The waiters are very attentive and polite. The decor is outstanding with animal pictures on the wall that take your breath away. I will definately be back before I leave.

We had read the tripadvisor reviews that all raved about the food and our expectations were high. Maybe it was because we were the only ones there and the owners did not appear to be around then, but the dinner menu and food was mediocre at best...spinach quiche with way too much tough crust, beef stroganoff that needed flavoring, stale bread....we were all very disappointed with the quality of our meals. The breakfasts weren't bad but again did not really impress. We are not sure why things were not great when we were there, but based on our experiences I would not recommend it.

French style cuisine with an African touch From breakfast with warm, oven crisp breads and freshly squeezed juices, to lunch with carefully selected brasserie dishes to the culinary feast for your taste buds at dinner: a five course gourmet experience acc
For the last 10 years, this restaurant has been named one of the top, if not THE top, eatery in Tanzania. That is saying a lot, given the number of very high-end lodge restaurants in the country. Machweo's ace is its Belgian-born chef, Axel Janssen, who trained in some of Europe's best three-star kitchens and knows his butchering and baking as well as presentation skills. The bread is excellent, the butter outstanding, amuse-bouches au point, soups delicious, vegetables always fresh and flavourful, and the wine selections appropriate to the French-accented dishes. No bargain, though; you will pay what this quality commands in an equivalent resto in France or Italy.

The place has a new management and it's really really good. Environment and atmosphere are great. The staff were well trained and food was excellent and well presented. Good selection of wines and the deserts were very tasty too. Would visit again. Recommended

went here with a friend on a Sunday evening. Very good menu, a little more expensive than other places but well worth it.

We had a great iced coffee here. Be sure to allow plenty of time because it took a while for them to make it. Definitely worth the wait though.

Simple and nice Greek place, quiet atmosphere... Tried the pizza there, amazing. Heard salads and grill is the specialty! Small drawback is hard and not very comfy chairs. Tip for restaurant: get a couple of sofaes / lounge area. Thanks for good food Will return!
