Small (max 30 seats) family run French - European restaurant established in 2002 and owned by the same people.
We booked this restaurant on Groupon a three course meal for 2. We had never been to Sherwood before so had to use the sat nav to find. There is a large free car park just at the other side of the pedestrian crossing opposite the restaurant. We had a lovely welcome and a cozy table for two. The lovely lady asked us if we wanted a drink outside or go straight to our table as they have a small seating area at the back.We opted to seat straight away.I had the mussels to start in a delicious chorizo and tomato sauce my husband had the chorizo and smoked cheese salad. We both had pork belly with a variety of veg. Which definitely got the thumbs up.For desert the baileys cheese cake and cheese and biscuits.Service was excellent They do an early bird 3 course menu Tues to Sat from 17.45pm and 19.15 for £13.50 so will definitely be going back with Mum.

Another lovely visit to this place. Might be the best Sunday lunch in town - and brilliant for me as a vegetarian. Great front of house hostess and service. And good quality freshly cooked food. Always busy on a Sunday - we were lucky to get a table. Thank you TR for another great Sunday lunchtime. Thank you very much for the positive review. We look forward to seeing you back up at the pub very soon. Thanks again Tom

Our meal was so good. Much better than I even expected. Portobello mushroom starters. Wife had the excellent bouillabaisse. I had the pork. Without doubt the nicest pork I have ever had. Wonderfully slow roasted, with incredible crackling and a lovely sauce. We were too full for dessert. Really nice Malbec to drink with it. Great, friendly service. Fantastic!
