Armagh (/ɑːrˈmɑː/ ar-MAH; from Irish Ard Mhacha /ɑɾd̪ˠˈwaxə/, meaning 'Macha's height') is the county town of County Armagh and a city in Northern Ireland, as well as a civil parish. It is the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland – the seat of the Archbishops of Armagh, the Primates of All Ireland for both the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Ireland. In ancient times, nearby Navan Fort (Eamhain Mhacha) was a pagan ceremonial site and one of the great royal capitals of Gaelic Ireland. Today, Armagh is home to two cathedrals (both named after Saint Patrick) and the Armagh Observatory, and is known for its Georgian architecture.

fantastic food always clean service is great would highly recommend it and easy access from main portadown road plenty of parking spaces and supermarket right beside it
Rather hesitantly we approached the restaurant, the outside does nothing to recommend it. However as the say "all that glitters is not gold!" Who needs beautiful exteriors when inside you find such a lovely surprise. The interior is light and welcoming and a great deal of thought has been put into making it suitable for both office workers nearby, or the visitor wishing to have tea and cake or a meal. Menu prices good as well.Everything we ate was delicious, cleanliness was top class and nothing was too much trouble. We have already recommended it to many people in the past week. Congratulations. Northern Ireland can be proud of you.

Wife and I called in last Saturday evening after XmasShopping. initially we just wanted to have a drink and a rest away from the crowd but whenever we entered theSmall front bar and saw a lovely blazing turf fire we immediately warmed to the idea of having something to eat there as well.We both chose from the two course express menu @£12.50 per head which had about 8 or 9 dishes to choose from plus a couple of specials. My wife ordered fish and chips and I chose chicken Maryland. Whenever our meals were ready we wereShown into a lovely small bright warm dining room which was comfortably full with other diners. We both really enjoyed our mains, which were bothVery tasty and well presented.Unfortunately we bothWe're disappointed by our choice of dessert but that aside we were really impressed by our experience.A special mention for the staff who were without exception friendly, warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

If you have a taste for disgusting food served by rude and unprofessional staff, this is the place for you. A remarkably unpleasant experience. The attitude of staff ruined our night and the good was terrible. Spend your hard-earned cash elsewhere.

This is our 3rd visit, and this time I took my son and daughter. The food is very tasty and a good varied menu. My two are dairy intolerant and soy milk lattes were available. We shall certainly visit again, also good to know is that they are open on a Sunday which is so good when we have relatives visiting.

Called in after visiting the apple blossom orchards in the area. Wanted to get a Sunday lunch. Plenty of choice on the menu, including specials. Service was First Class and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. My wife had the Sunday roast, which was roast beef with all the trimmings. She stated that it was the best beef she had ever tasted in her life.I went for the County Armagh pork, with cheese stuffing, and mixed vegetables. Again a lovely, well presented meal.It is a bar on the square, plenty of parking outside and nearby. the decor is olden type with old pieces of nostalgia dotted around. The walls are a bit off putting, as very badly stained yellow, obviously from the smoking days, and this can still be smelt at times. The toilets would need upgraded. There is an outside Beer Garden? with a rooftop area as well, live music here on occasions. The outside area would need a serious update, very untidy and benches/tables would need re varnishing.Apart from this, it seems to be a very popular location, plenty having a drink and meals. The meals were First Class and would return again, but work would need to be done on the above mentioned points.

Casual neighbourhood style bistro, working hard, shouting about local food heroes, cooking local food with an Aussie twist trying to share food that makes you smile. Serving local craft beer and cider, importers of Aussie beer, wines sourced from the vine
My boyfriend and I grabbed lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. The place was mostly very quiet, with only a few tables. We had a lovely time! The waitress was really nice, very friendly. I had the mushrooms and my boyfriend had a club sandwich. The portions were a very decent size. The food was tasty and fresh. We both had a coffee and they were delicious. I would go back if we were in the area.
