Iâve visited many Michelin starred restaurants across the world and The Jane deserves theirs. We were upstairs at the theatrical style dining. Exquisite cuisine from start to finish. Great service. We loved the theatrical style of the chefs carefully preparing each course. The flavours did presentation were awesome. My only negative comment would be that the area become very hot because of all of the cooking and heat rises from below. £££

Ancièn D'Anvers: a unique "Bar'Bistro" in Old Town City Center of Antwerp, close to the cathedral, main museums, shopping-area ... and much more. For lunch, dinner, afternoon, apero, cocktails, ... See you soon!
I came here in search of local Flemish cuisine, and found not only that, but also wonderful Flemish hospitality. The food was quite excellent; I ordered the Carbonnade Flamande (although being Antwerp and hence a city in the Flemish Region of the country, they clearly called the dish by its Dutch name, but itâs the same beef stew), and it impressed with how well the Hapkin beer sauce went with the beef. The hint of sweetness was just right, not at all overpowering the original flavour of the meat. I would highly recommend this. What I found equally impressive, though, was the level of customer service I had received there. Granted, I went at around 12 pm on a Sat and it was rather quiet (I was in fact the only customer sitting inside, while 2-3 tables were filled out on the patio), so perhaps that contributed to the amount of attention I got. Regardless, a friendly female server went through the menu items with me in detail since their menu doesnât come in English (not an issue in my opinion, if not a plus as it shows that itâs not purposely geared towards tourists). The portions are reasonable for anyone with a sizeable appetite, but since I couldnât finish my lunch, I asked to doggy bag the rest of what was a very delicious meal. The owner promptly returned with my food in - lo and behold - a Tupperware container. I found the gesture amusing and heartwarming in equal measure. As a side note though, does this mean that Antwerpians arenât acquainted with the concept or habit of doggy bagging...? Surely the owner doesnât have a stash of Tupperware to give away whenever someone requests leftover takeaways... or maybe he does? Lol.All in all, a great restaurant that made my day trip to Antwerp even better than it already was! Haha lol. Thanks a lot.We do have doggy bags. But i didnt wanna spoil your Food.So gladly gave you the Tupperware. We hope everytime you use iT? You Will think of us.Hope to See you back soon.Regards, Ludwig.

FRESH FRESH FRESH that's the credo of Restaurant Meat Factory in Antwerp, located on the Grand place, right in the Centre of this beautiful city. MEAT the name says it all, at Meat Factory, there are several meat dishes on the menu. A true paradise for al
Waiters were very attentive to us (they suggested us to take off our jacket, asked if everything was fine, etc.). The food was tasty but not enough potatoes with the burgers (could be enough for non starving people). We didn't waited the time for a long time.Well located (in the grote markt), and very cosy restaurant (not to big like canteens). Toilets were cleaned.I really recommend it.Bedankt voor de toffe recensie! We doen ons uiterste best om iedereen zo goed mogelijk te bedienen en zijn blij te horen dat u alles goed vond! Tot de volgende keer! Julien Meat Factory

Small restaurant with typical Belgian cuisine. Since it is just husband (cook) and wife (service) : Reservation required.
A group of four of us were visiting Antwerp and were told this was a nice place for food. We walked to the restaurant and arrived at 11:55 noticing the place was dark and no one was inside. We weren't sure if for some reason it was closed (perhaps a private party?) but as it was so close to opening we waiting outside for the remaining five minutes. At noon a woman opened the door and immediately had a frown on her face. We smiled and asked if they were serving lunch. She immediately became agitated and asked if we had reservations (no), how many seats we needed (4 - no way!) and scolded us that we should of called for reservations. The issue isn't that they couldnt accommodate us - it was the response. Surely this business has had others attempt to walk in and get a seat, no? Not to mention that, as the restaurant was literally shut down, I'm not sure how we could of secured a reservation to begin with. If you don't have any availability that's fine... a simple not today would suffice vs. admonishing us on the street. The above doesn't really do justice to the interaction. The lady was just downright rude. Please look at my other reviews because you can see that I do not have a history of making negative reviews for trivial issues - this might be my first 1 or 2 star review. Maybe this lady was just having a rough day but no matter what I wouldn't return regardless of how good the food is.Hello,I'm sorry you feel like I was being rude. I just told you we didn't have a table for 4 since they were already booked. You looked really surprised and asked if you could do 2 tables of 2, on which I replied that wouldn't be possible because there is only 1 person in the kitchen and 1 doing service and we don't want people to have to wait too long and that can happen if everybody comes at noon together. It's just how we try to run our restaurant efficiently. We always start in the morning to do preparations but we turn on the light when we open because otherwise people could be confused if we are open or not.I really don't think I scolded at you or neither was I agitated. We are just a very small business and places are limited so making a reservation can assure you of a table. You can call or email for reservations. (link on tripadvisor)Regarding your friend writing a review on Google saying there was nobody inside, like you said, I just opened the door. I was expecting a table of 4 at 12, 4 at 12.15 and 3 tables of 2 at 12.30. Often this are business people who don't have a lot of time so we limit our tables during lunch. It is a shame you had to write a review about something that could have been avoided if you just made a reservation. Kind regard, Nathalie

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Livelli yesterday evening and I can't say enough in its favour. The food is hand-made from scratch and the menu specialises in Lasagne. There were four of us. Two had the vegetarian version, one the special duck lasagne and one the salmon version. Each one was served with a salad which complemented the lasagne. The wines are carefully selected and complemented the meal. Each one of us enjoyed the meal. One of our group arrived really late (having been to a funeral) and due to the kind and helpful arrangements in the kitchen/diningroom was served his meal on arrival. The restaurant is beautiful, with a hexagonal design on the walls and floor and air space above. Another important point is that the seating is not crowded and no one was disturbed by loud music or other guests. I can't wait for the next opportunity to go back there.

we went to morso for a nice dinner and were welcomed really friendly by the attentive staff. Throughout the evening, there was a serene atmosphere even though the street nearby was relatively busy. We were able to watch the sunset from our seats outside and the waiters were all very likable :)

Gastronomy Lunch menu 2 or 3 cours Only Menu 4 or 5 cours
If your restaurant is nr 1 on trip advisor you can expect some critical guests and on our visit we were certainly not convinced it deserved this titel. We were here on a saturday night with some friends. We were invited in friendly and the service itself was very good except for the timing (see later). There is only a choice in 4 or 5 course menu with optional cheese. We opted for 4 and cheese added (cheese to replace desert is also possible) so in total we still had a 5 course meal. When we refused the wine pairing (this time mainly because we had to drive home after) we had a first sign that they did not like it. We chose a bottle of our own and than experienced this : the first two courses came fluent and then we had to wait an hour before the main arrived and only after i asked why it took so long ? Meanwhile they emptied our bottle very quickly into our glasses hoping that we were to order a new one. But we had decided it in advance to keep alcohol very low that evening. SInce it was a white wine and we were waiting to finish it with our main course and the hour waiting time our wine was warm when it finaly arrived. The cheese and dessert arrived then straight after meaning we had to eat the three last courses in half an hour time. It all felt a bit strange this timing and attitude altough i never had the feeling they disliked us, it was just that feeling of not doing what they expected that sent us home with a bad taste. Concerning the food it was good but to us experienced michelin stars eaters nothing came exciting some parts on the plates were even lacking of flavour, so on that part you can have a good plate of food but nothing worth to drive 100 km like we did for it.This is one i will not return to.

The specialty of this restaurant is meat which is prepared on ' the Big Green Egg ', a 3000 year old clay oven.
We were greeted by the hugely passionate Chef Patron Julien, who explained the choice of steaks on offer, and the differences between them.We were seated adjacent to the kitchen, so it almost felt like we had been afforded the luxury of the Chefâs Table, with the theatre of preparation on show. The âBig Green Eggâ used to cook the steaks is able to char the outside of the steak while leaving it perfectly medium-rare inside, and making for a âfall off the boneâ tenderness to the Tomahawk Steak. The second, mature steak we had chosen was filled with a depth of flavour that it hard to get outside of this method of cooking. Not overly fussy, just delicious - everything was fresh, including the handmade sauces, and will be definitely return the next time we are in Antwerp.

We stayed from twelve until four in the afternoon, and our three kids have been attended to all the time. We had time to eat with our friends, while the kids eat upstairs and played all along. Service is very good, so friendly :) .A bit pricey, but worth it. We'll definitely go back!
