My husband and I parked nearby and popped in for a quick couple of coffees: my husbandâs favourite - a cappuccino, and my preference for a latte. Both coffees were really delicious. Very, very good. If anything could be improved, it would be a larger cup of cappuccino and a proper cup, not a glass, for the latte. Minor personal preferences of ours, but we certainly wouldnât change the excellent quality of the coffee!

I had a bit of time to kill and wanted to pick up a snack and something to drink whilst charging my phone. I found the restaurant attractive with nice decor. It is located in the centre of Parkgate and there are several parking spaces outside the door. The young staff were very pleasant and quite efficient. I liked the Sunday menu options and chose the beef sliders which were very tasty. Others had the boneless ribs and the chilli prawns which were also enjoyed. Two of us picked the cod and I chose the slow braised beef. Great dishes, especially mine! The beef was outstanding and resembled two slabs of daupinoise potatoes in appearance. We enjoyed the accompanying potatoes and other vegetables. My brother in law chose the chicken chow mein which was a special. It was extremely salty. We all agreed about this and did mention it. He received a complimentary pint of beer. Shame all the dishes weren't perfect, but the lunch was thoroughly enjoyable.

As I was staying at the lodge I had dinner and breakfast here. The meals are always of good standard and reasonably priced.The feathered steak is good, as was the garlic mushrooms.Large Ulster breakfast will set you up for the day

Fantastic Food and WelcomeVisited today! Quite easily the best time and food we have had in long time. Staff very friendly !Would not hesitate to recommend for any occasion. The salt and chili chicken and gammon were both Amazing !! We will be definitely back!

I was so delighted to see this place actually does gluten free burgers and chips!!! I was even more delighted to see that the burger was really tasty. I had the handcut chips. To be honest they weren't great. Not very well cooked through and they had a funny taste: like the oil had an unusual aftertaste. The chips needed covered in vinegar to mask the bad taste. My home chips are much better and in my opinion, they shouldn't be: you guys are the professionals. The burger was SO good though so I'll definitely give it 5 stars and return soon. Although next time I'll have the skinny fries and hope they've upped their chippy game just a little more.

Speedy, delicious, will definitely be back. First time here and am so glad I decided to give it a go. Friendly staff. Starter of mushrooms...great. Steak perfect.....best in a long timeGood portions! Just unfortunate we had no room for dessert after so I cannot comment on this.
