Tapas place with excellent wines, all kinds of snacks, good cold beer and great smooth and relaxing music.
We went to Tapas and UVA after researching on TripAdvisor. It is a little iff the beaten track but that should not put you off. From outside it does not look much, but we were given a warm welcome and offered an outside table which we were happy with as it was a very warm evening. The menu is not too big so the waitress who was very friendly gave us advice on how many dishes ae should choose. We had a cheese and meat board to share it was delicious. Followed by garlic prawns, then the mussels......which I do not normally like but they were amazing, great sauce. Finally the pork cheeks which I always enjoyI had a nice glass of red local wine and hubby several of the rose.A final port to finish with ended a great meal and findThe service was fantastic, very attentive staff who were happy to chat It was very well priced and I was sorry we ran out of days to return. It is one we hope will still be here when we next visit Alvir.

Stopped here with a group of six and as they were busy, spoke with the owner and returned 30 minutes later to have a table sorted. The âcustomer friendliness â was as good as the service and the food!Having order lots of tapas and extras we were not disappointed and having been to Alvor several times prior we have never come across the restaurant being it is slightly off the main walking areas! But when we do return next year due to the hospitality of the owner, the staff and the food we will go back again!!Itâs worth looking out for this â little gemâ to enjoy while in the beautiful AlvorDonât say you havenât been told..

We wanted to take some friends who live in the Algarve somewhere they hadnât been before - I think it was a good choice. We shared four different tapas as starters, ranging from scrambled egg to chourico assado, all really good. For our main courses, two of us had pork cheeks, I had bifinhos de frango and my friend had arros tamboril. The food was good quality, well cooked and served nicely. The restaurant decor is modern, the tables are well spaced, the maître d' is helpful and knowlegable, especially about local wine. It is more of a restaurant than wine bar and being a little off the beaten track, easily missed, itâs bmid-range in price, and we can recommend it.

Cozy Italian wine & tapas bar with incredible view above Alvor's river. A selection of authentic Italian cold cuts, cheese and little bites of food, paired with fine Italian wines. Excellent as a pre-dinner nibble, or to make a whole meal out of it by ord
My wife and I visited Gusto after reading reviews from trip advisor and wanting to try an alternative Italian restaurant. We werenât disappointed my wife had the chefs bruschetta and I had the Italian ham and mozzarella which was amazing, we followed with spaghetti bolognese and I had the gnocchi with truffles and walnut, this has been the best weâve had anywhere, we finished with lemon and chocolate panna cotta and me with the Italian cookies with coffee and also a cheeky wee shot of lemeonchilo. Monica was very welcoming and also her husband, which made the meal a most enjoyable experience all round, and last but not least the view of the sunset was magical. A must to visit when in Alvor.Grazie mille !!!!!

Excellent grilled fish
We've reviewed this restaurant twice before and were looking forward to eating here again this year. It was even better than we remembered. I always order grilled Sea Bass and it is as good as it gets here. Beautifully crispy on the outside and soft and flavoursome on the inside. All this from a charcoal grill, amazing! My wife was equally enthusiastic about the Monkfish Kebab. All this can be had with wine and beer for around £45.00. Fantastic value. Service is friendly and attentive, and they always remember you when you return the next year.

We are an family owned authentic Italian Restaurant with a variety of Mediterranean cuisine. Opening hours are from 6pm to 11pm.
See this place on trip advisor, so based on that alone we've had our first meal out in Alvor.Absolutely lovely, great pizza, tasty, fresh, and a good size.Lots loved their garlic bread pizza and margherita. The Don Pedro.... Well that's a new one on me and a great recommendation. All in all a lovely meal. 10%off future meal. I didn't think 58euros was too bad for four including dessert.Costumer service was great. Dead friendly!

Ristorante tipico italiano con prodotti tipici e piatti unici da gustare in un ambiente calmo e familiare
Had a pizza and lasagne to share. The lasagne was good but the pizza base was too thick. Wine cost more than the food. Wouldn't visit again. Better Italian restaurant in Alvor.

We had booked this 3 months in advance and had high expectations following a friend's visit. In summary, it is just brilliant. The attention to detail is great and the staff are friendly and professional. Front man had exacting details of all the dishes and guided us to the perfect choices. Sorbet with spumante after the starters prepared us for the mains, all cooked to perfection, the best steak I have eaten - ever.Everything about our meal was lovely. With drinks, desserts and irish coffee to finish we paid around £34 each - very good value.
