What a great find this wonderful little restaurant is. The chef de patron marries dishes from his homeland of Romania with classic Mediterranean dishes. The soup of the day was fragrant and delicious and the entrecôte steaks served perfectly rare with scarracha sauce. Plenty of crisp vegetables and scallop potatoes. We will all definitely return.

Very good food - the marinated, grilled meat souvlaki in particular. Extremely amiable and helpful service.Veggies will probably need to piece together starter options, but they are handily listed together on a separate page of the menu at the end.The mojito sorbet ain't very Greek, but is very fine!

Franxerra gastro bar on the Altea boulevard is an amazing experience and a relief to find inbetween all the tourist traps available in Altea (Oustau de Altea blehhh!). The ownerchef and his wife manage the place and food is delicious. Small bites made to perfection and with love for the Spanish cuisine (you can tell rightaway). They speak a little English so you can communicate what you would like to eat but the food speaks for itself. You get little extra off the menu tapa with your innitial drink and can choose from a tapas menu or the restaurant menu with bigger portions. It's value for money too whick is a relief because restaurants in these coastal towns ask an arm and a leg for low quality food and you feel a bit cheated. I can reccommend this place to foodlovers only and make reservations because they only have a few tables and good news travels fast.

Went their for breakfast and chose the 7.95 - Sausage, bacon & egg option - disappointed to see that the sausages advertised on the menu were actually cheap nasty poor quality hot dog sausages - Quite capable of cutting up my own bacon, yet someone had already done that, chopped into little pieces? It was craftily placed on top of the completely overcooked fried eggs that had been totally nuked and not at all how I like them. Served with pineapple slices ??? WTF is this? Wish I had taken a photo. When I mentioned that the sausages were poor and I had noted plates coming back from 3 other tables, with sausages uneaten - The waitress was nonchalant and said "well thats what we have here" Very Expensive for cheap, poor quality ingredients, poorly cooked & poorly presented. Stick to the salads they do at lunch as they are nice.

Our cuisine is simple and genuine, It is all home made and you can feel like in your home.
We have eaten here many times now and the food is excellent! The owners are charming and the ambience is friendly and welcoming. It's great for couples and families. There are other Italian restaurants in Altea but this is by far the best that we have found. The owner does the cooking and he can really cook! It is proper Italian food! If you haven't been then do go because you won't be disappinted! And if you enjoy tiramasu then this is the place, it's homemade and wonderfully fresh and huge! We had to take half home the last time we ordered it.

We are an artisan pastry and we have many cakes for different events. Also we have artisan ice cream.
What can I say? Beautiful village with amazing patisserie. I had a Gluten Free Halloween cake which was expensive at â¬5 but out of this world. My had the pistachio ice cream. Again by all accounts sublime. Fantastic place to stretch the night out after eating at many of the nearby restaurants.

Firstly, middle and lastly, the people! Superb, warm, considerate service delivers fantastic food in an atmosphere that is both casual and fine. Lovely setting, inside or out with rotation of gallery art complimenting the architecture. Killer deserts, too!

Bistro Chapi, very cosi atnosfhere inside and a beautiful terras outside, specialised in small Spanish dishes with a northern Spanish cuisine. Several tapas such as octopus, garlic prawns, scallops, foie...and as plate also our best entrecot and sirloin..
Great new restaurant, loved our visit and hope to go back. Delicious seafood, particularly the octopus, some of the best weâve ever had! Lots of interesting things to try on the menu, and very knowledgeable staff who were able to recommend dishes (which were all fantastic!!)Thank you so much, hope to see you soon , xx
