Reviews on European food in Algarve, Portugal. The Algarve's sunny shores offer perfect escapes for all types, from those seeking the hot nightlife of flashy, energetic Lagos to those desiring secluded stays in rambling Sagres. Portugal's most southerly region offers historical attractions in former Moorish capital Silves and fascinating Tavira, great golf, fabulous beaches from Praia da Luz to Armacao de Pera, thermal springs at Caldas de Monchique, and miles of limestone caves and grottoes, cliffs and bays along its rugged coastline.

Please note: We only can take calls between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. We are an elegant, cozy, and intimate restaurant in the heart of Lagos. We serve Portuguese cuisine with a twist and always use fresh local ingredients. We provide a warm and attentive servi
Food, service, ambiance excellent. Tiny restaurant (around 24 covers in total), with a third of the seating outside. The food is wonderful, though quite expensive. Very much worth a visit. One problem. We tried to book on their website and tables are not offered after 6:30 (always says fully booked). So we called in person to ask for a table the following day - only 6:30 available on many days. So we reluctantly took 6:30 and as any tables emptied after 8:00 they would not take any passing trade, just leaving the tables empty. Strange. Maybe they like to get to bed early! Dear Steve,It is such a pleasure to read these wonderful words about your dinner at our restaurant!Thank you so much for sharing your experience here on TripAdvisor and recommending us.We are really happy to know that you enjoyed your evening with us.Once again, a big thank you and kindest regards from all of us at Real

This restaurant never ceases to amaze! We prebooked for our daughterâs birthday, asking for a cake with candles. We got the usual very warm welcome from the staff, all of whom we now know well. Predrinks and shown to our table in this small, intimate restaurant. Two had the tornedos and two had the mussels, with minor distractions from our daughters 4 month old baby. The wine was absolutely fantastic and accompanied the food well. We finished with a beautiful chocolate cake with candles and everyone in the restaurant singing Happy Birthday to our daughter. Truly a night to remember.

The Birds Nest is a well established intimate and friendly family owned restaurant located in Tenoca, close to Boliqueime village, Loulé. Our menus, changing regularly and to benefit from the best seasonal produce available, take their inspiration from co
Itâs a double edged sword writing this review. The decor, service and food all deserve the utmost praise but will we be able to get a booking when we want to return if everyone realises how great the Birds Nest really is?!I found the restaurant on TA, checked out by email before we left the UK that last orders were 9.30pm as Iâd (mis)read the website as suggesting that was when the restaurant actually closed. We knew within minutes of arriving that we wanted to come back again and that was certainly reinforced after weâd tasted just our first courses which were exceptional. So we immediately rebooked. From the lovely, well kept interior to the welcoming, warm and efficient service to every dish we thoroughly enjoyed on each visit it was a sheer delight to be here. ( I always judge the true state of a restaurant or bar by the cleanliness and care taken of the Ladies - sadly often forgotten by owners - here it was as elegant and well kept as all the other areas!)This restaurant may be away from the usual better class Almancil venues popular with expats but it is certainly on a par with those places for example Casa Di Campo. It is a modest scale inside but tables are not packed together so it is a romantic spot for couples or somewhere equally enjoyable for a small group. The menu is principally British fare but delivered beautifully and with a twist that means the flavours and the portion sizes certainly donât disappoint. The spicy fish cakes were a wonderful starter and the lamb main sublime. The Eton Mess a HUGE amazing treat and my husbandâs warm caramelised rice pudding with prunes his particular favourite. This cosy, welcoming establishment is now our firm favourite out of the 20+restaurants we have visited within 40 minutes of our hotel Epic Sana on Falesia beach. Itâs 20 minutes from there but well worth the trip. When asked why we were looking a little crest fallen on our final evening we explained we rather wanted to pick up the Birds Nest and deposit it close to home. Still next year to look forward to!Thank you Christine for your lovely review, we are very happy that you enjoyed your experience at the Birds Nest and look forward to seeing again next year on your return to the Algarve.

Small little restaurant with really, really good burgers and wraps! We haven eaten here with our kids and although thereâs no childrens menu, there was enough choice for them as well. The burgers and wraps are genuinely delicious! Really a good recommendation, would certainly consider eating here again!

We came here on reading previous reviews and was not disappointed. We couldnt decide what to have so we went for the sharing platter for 2 and it was amazing and to be honest could easily have fed 3 to 4 people the cheese board is to die for, we went home with a goody bag of what we couldnt eat aa so much. Patricia and her team made us feel extremely welcome and couldnt do enough for us. The food and wine was superb and great value for money, we are so glad we found this little gem of a place and it is first on the list for when we return Albufeira

Passionate about the hotel industry and the American restaurant concept, after several years of restoration work, Fabio's Roadstop is the perfect fusion between the American concept and our Portuguese concept.
We ate here as a party of 5, with my parents and my 18 year old son. Everyone loved the food and the service was exceptional. We had the Fabio burgers which were amazing - you must try them! We also had the brownie - again it must be tried! Easy to find and very accommodating, we will be back!
