Reviews on European food in Aalborg, Jutland, Denmark. If Aalborg were a house, the real estate agent would sell it as "loaded with potential." The 1,000-year-old city is Denmark’s fourth largest, and boasts a Viking past, over 300 restaurants, a casino, lively nightlife and great shopping. The zoo breeds rare Siberian Tigers, and the Waterland and Tivoliland make it a great place for families to visit. Aalborg isn’t a hotspot for foreigners, yet. But we’ll watch as the waterfront of this busy port continues to gentrify, with expectations it will be one in the future.

I had one of the best sandwiches ever! I had the Notorious P.I.G. on a gluten free bun and delicious fried with a garlic aioli for dipping. The GF bun was perfect, very difficult to find. The service was friendly and helpful. Wish we had a Wildebeest Gastropub around the corner!

Try the surprise menu and let the kitchen experiment and challenge your tastebuds. Overall our experience was very positive as regards the starter and main course, while the dessert was deemed to have been dead-set on challenging conventions. Still a very pleasant experience - and a great non-secret menu to pick from

So far this is the best places I have found for Danish Smørrebrød in Aalborg. Great food, food size portions, good service and a nice "local" seating.I will definitively be back and if you are looking for traditional Danish food including Smørrebrød you should visit too.

Had dinner with a group of colleagues while on business in Aalborg. Everyone really enjoyed the flavors and the service at the restaurant.Fusion is a modern restaurant in a new building by the harbor canal in Aalborg. The menu is interesting; bringing together Asian, especially Japanese, cuisine and Scandinavian cooking. We had a fixed menu with appetizer sushi selection, beef and desserts. The flavors were very good, especially some of the sushi dishes and the beef. The wine served with the dishes was great - well chosen for balance and matching the food.Service and presentation were very good as well, adding to the enjoyment.Would very happily dine there again.

In italian La Locanda means "The local" or "The Inn" - and back when Brix Gaard was build this was what the restaurants were called. We serve honest, authentic and simple Italian food in a rustic and very pleasant surroundings.

Went for dinner mid week to celebrate our daughters 25th birthday. The first time visiting Applause. The whole dining experience was absolutely wonderful. The food was full of inspiration and presentation was a real delight. The 10 course extravaganza was divine. Our waiter Nicolas was great and extremely knowledgeable, especially with regards to the wine. Will definitely be coming back and look forward to another culinary treat.

We went to Rositas with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't imagine a better place. Everything was just fantastic! The food was the highest quality and the wine that was served for us matched with every dish perfectly. Such a feast for our taste buds. Also, the service was great. We did not wait for the food and the waitress was super nice with big knowledge about the food and wine. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very special - one has to experience it. I highly recommend that place!!
