The restaurant and the Mindo Coffee Lodge is absolutely fabulous. We spent 1 night at the hotel and, although we usually explore local restaurants, we ate every meal at the Coffee Lodge. The empanadas, coffee, and drinks are absolutely fabulous. The owner is an amazing cook. She also offers cooking lessons, which I recommend as well. The was one of the best meals we had in Ecuador. You have to eat here if you visit Mindo!Thank you so much for taking time to write a nice review. We will appreciate it. Had a delicious sandwich here while waiting for the bus. Couple tables. The owner is very 'simpatica' prices very reasonable from 2.50$ on. I had and avocado sandwich that had ham but I'm vegetarian so owner took out ham and added more veg! The place is tiny and quaint and apparently they serve beer etc later into the night.. always good to know where to grab a quick snack good and fresh products with choice of 3 types of breads too! I recommend

I came here with friends in the evening to watch the Superbowl. Such beauty in the thatched wood enclosure that has a cathedral ceiling. Open walls admitted the sound of croaking frogs, while we ate and watched the game. We had wonderful fresh trout fillets for dinner, along with Pilsner beer and wine. Location is just outside of the center of Mindo, far enough to not hear the noise of town.

Well. This food is extremely superb. 8 course degustation of delightful dishes showing imagination and beautiful flavour combinations.And at the most amazingly low price. Wonderful service and well presented restaurant. Worth a trip to Mindo just to experience this fabulous food.10/10 Love it.Thanks!! So weâre in Ecuador craving Mexican food? These things happen. Fortunately the Dragonfly Inn had the cure with a huge order of chicken fajitas, grilled vegetables and fresh guacamole. We sat outside overlooking the river, watching a pair of Motmot birds who were also enjoying a meal. Good food, good prices, great surroundings!

We ate twice at "El Cheff". The first night was perfect, the meat was medium like ordered, the fries are great - no complaint what so ever. The second night, however, the meat was overcooked by a mile. And for this kind of meat this is a shame! So, yes, it's great but tell the waiter exactly how you want it and return it if it's off.

I Can recommend this Tour, itâs $10 pp weâll worth it, takes around an hour our guide Sergei was so informative and told us so much about the chocolate production from growing to the actual finished chocolate product every part of the chocolate plant is used even the rusks used to make chocolate tea which is good for Altitude sickness. All the chocolate produced here is all organic. At the end your given different types of chocolate flavour to try and can blend your own flavours and some chocolate tea to try. Excellent tour and well worth a visit. Itâs also a restaurant so you can have something to eat before or after your tour. Stopped for dinner and had the place to ourselves. Willy the proprietor taught us some more Spanish and helped us order. The portions were large, meat, avocado and salad, we opted for the baked plantain (porconnes?) , delicious. Our advice, eat early as the place gets packed after 7pm. This lovely restaurant prides itself on fresh, local food, cooked really well. The soup and salad change daily and you order your protein separately. The steaks are particularly excellent. Nice people too. We went twice in three days!
