Long fought over by warring empires, the city of Yerevan survived centuries of foreign occupation, finally becoming independent with the fall of the Soviet Union. This capital city, a center of Armenian culture, has celebrated its freedom with a flurry of construction and a growing population. Despite this push forward, history survives in Yerevan - The Institute of Ancient Manuscripts houses books dating back to the 9th century, and the ruins of the Erebuni Fortress, built in 782 BC, still stand.

Armenian modern restaurant in Yerevan. An innovative interior decorated with Armenian medieval trimmings, natural herbs and straws, Armenian cuisine presented in modern style, international dishes, a variety of drinks and cocktails will give you memorable
I was on a business trip in Armenia and decided to take my colleagues (non-Armenian) to Armat. We were greeted with such genuine hospitality and seated right away with our server paying close attention to what we needed. The service was excellent and left my guests beyond satisfied. I will be back again and definitely encourage others to visit this incredible restaurant. We started with the wine platter and ended with the pistachio ice cream which was to die for. A must stop if visiting Armenia!

Tavern "Old Zangezur", founded in December 2013, became a popular and pleasant place, not only for people from Zangezur, but also for the residents and guests of the capital. Our main goal was to unite people from Zangezur in Yerevan, as well as to restor
So glad we left this place in time. When we arrived the only tables taken where a large tour group finishing their meal. When we were ordering the waitress was short and of the four things we wanted to order two were not available. She goes on to tell us that the kitchen is very busy and we should only order barbecue. We question her seeing as the tour group was leaving and we were the only ones left in the restaurant. She literally was trying to get us out of the restaurant before we even had a chance to order. Then when we said we needed a few minutes she started saying âwhat is the problem?â very aggressively. When I explained that she didnât have some things we wanted she stormed off and thatâs when we decided to leave. This place is only for tourists. Luckily we went to the Tavern only 2 minutes walking distance. The food there was excellent and the same prices for a much fancier place. Do yourself a favor do not go here. I cannot personally attest for the food but when the tour group left the amount of food left behind was a telling sign that is was not very good. Thank you for review:) If you test our dushies, you don't write this review.

Tavern Yerevan restaurant chain represents its visitors a new initiative âTavern Yerevan.Riversideâ which is a unique place not far from the city where You can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of nature.
We celebrated a birthday. Everything was exellent. On a hot July evening, we sat on the open veranda. Listened to classical music, then modern, people danced with pleasure. And then was showed a small ballet performance based on the history of Armenia.Everything that was ordered was very tasty and beautiful. In general, the menu is varied, the choice of dishes is rich. Served quickly and very friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. Our birthday was presented with a bottle of Armenian wine. The restaurant is a complex of several verandas, rooms and all this among the trees. Light illumination, music, a lot of smiling people - all this creates a festive atmosphere.I recommend ordering kebab from beef and drink from blackberry.

The restaurant is verry famous it was recommended by our armenian friend. The restaurant receive his customer by booking only, as a tourist i tried to book more than one time but unfortunaly the reply is always full. The question is It is really fully booked or this is a marketing strategy.I cant talk about the food or service but i can tell you that i couldnt make a booking Dear Antoine,Thank you for the feedback. That' a pity that you have not got chance to be in our Restaurant. We would like to mention that as we are usually busy, guests are making in advance reservation via phone, mail,Facebook.Days and hours also depend,so it is not only by booking. It is difficult to find vacant table especially for lunch time, evenings hours, holidays. The central location of the Restaurant and wide windows give chance even to passers- by see what is going on inside. So it is very easy to judge whether it is really fully booked or a marketing strategy. If you are in Yerevan and still interested in visiting us ,could you please provide us with your contact number via e/m [email protected] .We will arrange accordingly. We do hope to have the opportunity to host you.Sincerely,Armenuhi HovhannisyanCustomer Relations Manager Sherep Restaurant

Katsa is an Armenian restaurant, which represents the most famous dishes of Armenian & Georgian cuisine. The restaurant is located in the heart of Yerevan; in the hospitable atmosphere of the restaurant, you can enjoy morning breakfasts, special lunch men
We made a reservation via messenger app & received a confirmation of our reservation. The restaurant was very considerate & gave us a private room as we've requested for a non-smoking section. We tried their homemade red wine, mushroom & borsch soups, eggplant rolled in walnuts, grilled sevan trout, chicken kebabs, veal cutlets. Service was friendly & prompt. Food was good except for the mushroom soup & veal which we found a tad salty (but we note that food in Armenia is generally a little more salty than back home). We particularly liked the borsch soup & eggplant. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of food & standard of service. Highly recommended. Dear Guest,Thank you so much for taking the time to come by our place and thank you a thousand more for such a wonderful review, hope to have you back with us soon!
