Very tasty dishes with a variety of ingredients and a whole range of meats, seafood and vegetables. Celery cream soup is my favorite and was brought by current chef from another restaurant where he worked. We tried tagliatelle with shrimp, cherry tomato, rosemary and garlic - perfect blend. I loved beef boneless shank with Swiss chard and mushrooms (juneci ribic sa blitovom i gljivama), so had to come back for more!! Waiter was professionally friendly, knowledgeable about his dishes and attentive to our food allergies and intolerances. Kudos to the waiter. Not a cheap place, but worth every penny. There was also mostly light jazz music and singer in the background, perfectly toned down for proper table conversation even for "mature" - a bit hard of hearing people.

Despite the playful appearance, simple, nice pub, with great food, music and hospitality. We started in 2005 with the idea to remind local people to good old days when life was slower and more time was devoted to enjoyment and relaxation. The aim was also
I knew it was a bad sign when the waiters and kitchen staff were sitting around upstairs during evening service. Nevertheless, we were hungry and eventually managed to rouse one of the waiters into taking our order, whilst his prodigy seemingly did little other than rinse glasses. The food, passable salad apart, was incredibly oily - meat, potatoes and vegetables were dripping in the liquid fat. My friend was ill as a consequence and I felt a touch dodgy. Avoid like the plague.

My place in Novi sad is just around the corner but it took 2 months to come here, because the everyday directions were towards the city. I was an early dinner, veal broth, muchkalica (kind of goulasch with a lot of vegetables) and wine were all excellent and portions substantial. So definitely I will come back some other time.

Meals are great, well served and solid portions for a really good price. There is a nice view of Danube, but I recommend to reserve a table in advance or you will have a table without a view. We come to Novi Sad for EXIT or Tamburica Fest almost every summer, and this is by far the best ethno-resto around. Gorgeous rustic decor, scenic views of both Petrovaradin Fortress on one side and the Danube on the other, with the sun setting across the river. Reasonably priced, excellent food and service. Zvonko Bogdan's musicians sometimes play old town favourites on weekends at your tableside. This place is charming and provides an unforgettable Serbian dining experience, with specialties from both the Serbian and Hungarian culinary traditions of Vojvodina. There are other fantastic restos in town and around, but this one is on our must-do checklist whenever we are in Novi Sad.

They produce their own beer, at great prices 1EUR pint!!! Excellent taste, especially loved the RED beer as they call it, they have nice lager and dark beer too...very friendly staff.
After all the bad experiences iwith service and in general with restaurants in Belgrad we were really hoping to find a nice place to have a lunch. We searched online and found this place with good reviews. Quiet place away from crowd, a pleasant rustic atmosphere. Service was so fast ( at least after what we have experienced in Belgrade), food was delicious, staff members were friendly which is not very common in Serbia :) I recommend this place !

Cafe VELIKI, a type of restaurant not often seen in Europe these days, with authentic flavors and recipes dating back to the 19th century. Novi Sad, and Vojvodina is multi-national and multi-ethnic society, and if you want to sense inspiring smells, and t
The food was breath taking! Massive portions, hence the name! And SUPER DELICOUS!!!! Never had deep fried goat cheese coated in corn flakes and it was a real treat! The pork stew was intensely satisfying! Wish I kept room for the dessert! Honestly surprised at how GOOD THE WINE BY THE GLASS was. Was a local red and for the price and quality - phenomenal! Come by and say hello to Albert, heâs the star of the show and made our experience even more incredible!

After having stayed in Belgrade we went to Sremski Karlovci and found foreign tourist (none of them in the capital). Groups of Taiwanese have for some reason found this little town on the Danbue bank. The Bermet restaurant is classic Serbian with a lot of food dishes. Try the mixed grill platter where you can tase different tyopes of local meat. Portions are plentifull and service is good.

This is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Sremski Karlovci. Garden is very nice and cozy and view on Danube River is magnificent. Food is perfect, especially if you prefer fish. Don't forget to call and make reservation for your table, because it is impossible to find a place to sit here in a lunchtime without reservation.
