The main goal of Jakob Franc is to deliver the highest quality slovenian dishes in the center of Ljubljana. Here you will find the tastiest slovenian classics like jota, ricet and home-made dried meats. The star of our menu is a local breed of pig from th
We were so glad that we just happened on this restaurant when on an evening walk from our rented apartment. We wanted a restaurant with some classic Slovene food but didnât want one that screamed tourist destination. Jakob Franc fit the bill perfectly. They specialize in serving a very specific breed of pig, native to Slovenia, Blackbelted piggy. Of course there are other things on the menu, but we went for the appetizer tray with a sampling of 5 different items made from this rare breed of pig and then selected the roast pork and a traditional pork dish as our main courses. We enjoyed everything except the Lardo with paprika - just a little too much for us. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. The service and food are exceptional.

Already listed in the latest edition of Lonely Planet Guide - Slovenia where it is described as Serbian cuisine. Excellent food at a reasonable price - actually the best meal we had during our 2 weeks in Slovenia & Croatia!
Venturing away from the popular Ljubljanica river walk can yield some amazing restaurant finds, like this place on the main street Slovenska Cesta. The cheese-stuffed cevapi will please meat lovers, and they offer some tasty options for vegetarians in addition to the excellent šopska salad. Try the sataraš veggie casserole and the prebranac baked beans. Local beer on tap and generous pours of house wine. I liked it better than the Serbian food I had in Serbia. Has the feel of a family-run place that takes pride in quality fresh food.

Restaurant
Wonderful position along the river. The marinated salmon as apetizer was good, but too small. The chicken with porcini was medium quality (very very very few porcini in it). The white chocolate dessert was very good. In my opinion it's too expensive for the quality. The service is too slow.

typical Bosninan chevapdjinica
Food was very tasty and came out quickly. I particularly liked the Bosnian chicken soup and the beef sausage (cevapi?). The homemade beer was tasty too. Our waiter, Anel, was great and made us feel very welcome.

In Robbba we strive to make our guests in addition to the enjoyment and wellness in the atmosphere, enjoy the cuisine as well. Our menu has been carefully designed to the last detail, very innovative, but above all we proud our selves, that we do not use
Not Nearly As Good as Julija, which I believe is the sister restaurant to Robba. Sat in back room which lacked any special atmosphere...felt secluded and not attended to. Wine pours were very short (shorter than normal and inconsistent)... food was "so-so" -- nothing special for the price-point. Service felt rushed, as it was busy and because of our table location. Just OK, but felt disappointed considering the rave reviews from others.
