We are specialised in omelettes being the first and only omeletterie in The Netherlands.
On a Sunday morning the queue outside stretched down the street, with is a clear testament to the place for breakfast. Thereâs menus available outside on the street to decide while you wait and the queue went surprisingly quickly. The menu is really extensive. Every variety of omelette is offered but if you are struggling then the âconstruct your own optionsâ are available as a backup! As well as food thereâs a good choice of drinks, including vegetable smoothies, which are all offered in a variety of sizes. The kitchen is completely open and itâs interesting watching the team work from the two chefs who prepare all the dishes. As expected the whole restaurant was very busy and every single member of staff was rushing about. This meant that the level of personal service wasnât where it could have been, and the wait for drinks was excessively long. Despite this everyone was friendly enough.Size of the food portions was great for the price and the quality was superb. Everything was really tasty, clearly fresh having watched the preparation and really flavoursome. Presentation was good too and despite it only being an omelette thought had been applied!Atmosphere was great, decor was nice and everywhere was clean too. Our table in the centre of the restaurant was a good size for two people but no where felt like it would be cramped. Overall itâs one of the most enjoyable breakfasts Iâve had and Iâd certainly return. Itâs popular for a reason and thereâs plenty of options on the menu to prevent it getting boring. Itâs just a shame that the service didnât quite match.

We had a wonderful meal at Jaspers. Itâs a friendly place featuring continental haute cuisine and an extensive wine list. Definitely one of the top 5 restaurants in Amsterdam. We had great fish, asparagus soup and desert dishes. Service was very attentive. Each dish presented in our 4 course dinner was accompanied by a discussion of the ingredients.

Koekenbier is a cozy Bar/Restaurant/hotel where you can have an excellent lunch or dinner experience, or just enjoy a cold one at the bar until the wee hours of the night. Enjoy our delicious Black Angus steak off the hot stone, or cooked to order. We off
Wow, what a surprise!I was only staying in Abcoude as all the hotels in Amsterdam were full (some conference or whatever) but I would never have found this gem otherwise.Great selection of beers, lovely staff and food to cook at your table on a hot stone! Heaven!OK, I know it's not a new concept, and you can find similar places all over the place; but this is just so perfect after a long day. Steak, 3 jumbo prawns, salad and two sauces for about â¬25, who could complain at that? The staff were attentive, but not pushy, and the food was excellent. The place was about 85% full on a dull Tuesday evening, so they are defi3doing something right.I'll definitely stay outside of Amsterdam again, and make a point of dropping by this place again.

We were in the crowne plaza and saw the restaurant. Itâs in the business part of town, so not something that youâd run into. I decided to look it up and read some great reviews. Anyway we made a last minute Saturday night reservation and so glad we went.If youâre adventurous and want to try different amazing foods, then you have to pay a visit. The restaurant is a gem in the middle of nowhere.

Nice house (little like Martin Berasategui) on lake shore (although no view, at least inside â there is a terrace too). Beautiful interior design. 6 course chefâs menu and a la carte. Everything was good in the menu. Good service, smooth pace â not too quick but not too slow either. Iâve visited many Amsterdam Michelin starred, and so far this is a clear winner.

Visited Loetje on Tuesday 06 Aug 2019. 4 people two friends heading to Schiphol for their flight back home to the UK. We sat outside near the riverside. Ordered the 16 piece starter and meat balls in sauce. Delicious. We could have ordered another round! But we didn't for fear of not enjoying the main course. Next we all had the Beef Tenderloin with Loetje Jus. Thank goodness for the bread as we all moped our plates and we could have request more but we didn't like to be seen to be pigs. The Beef was succulent (medium rare) and more or less melted in the mouth. Chips were hot and browned beautifully - very tasty! The two salads (very tasty and nearly over flooded the dish) between 4 people were very generous and to be honest we could have just ordered 1 salad. I mean salad or chips "health conscious" or "bugger the diet!!!" Lol What would you choose? Lastly only two of us had a desert! Coffee liqueur and 2 chocolates. Perfect and our other guest had the Sticky Toffer Pudding. Again a good portion of the pudding with cream. We all had a taste by the way! This looked and tasted light and it was again delicious. A nice syrup helped the desert go down very well. Our friends admitted that they wished they had a similar restaurant close to them in County Durham, where they could go to for snacks or a main meal. They were also overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. Great experience!

The restaurant is located in the old part of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel inside of a very old, majestic building. The menu is descent (good do with more taste) and they only serve 1 kind of sparkling water; some horrible dutch brand. Staff is friendly!! Great ambiance for larger groups; especially during summer time!

Take a minute to catch your breath from todayâs hustle and bustle. In the beautiful âRonde Hoepâ polder, between the villages of Amstelveen and Abcoude, where the three rivers "The Bullewijk", "The Holendrecht" and "The Waver" merge, you will find our uni
When we arrived staff made a mistake with a present, which was not intended for us. We absolutely had no problems with it, but nonetheless they insisted we had a drink on the house as appologies for the mistake. That's what we call excellent service! The food was great with original touches and also the location is beautiful. We will certainly return here!

The food is very well prepared, as the quality of the ingredients is excellent. The oysters as starter were very good indeed. Not the 'snot' you sometimes get. The other dishes were well prepared (eg codfish), however the sauces/dressings/mousses were very dominant in the taste. Ambitions of the staff is high, and no doubt it will receive a star one day. However still a long way to go before it is truly excellent.
