Amazing food, very quirky set up - a steam powered rotisserie is well cool. Staff amazing, I have an allergy and they literally bent over backwards to accommodate it suggesting changes to dips/sauces etc. Proper food, cool surroundings and staff who really care for the customer.

Had diner here with my wife after other restaurants were 'full'. From the beginning you feel at home. The food is not special, but good enough and sold in a nice concept. The service and attention is an example for others. We'll be back.

I think the restaurant has recently been refurbished, and a nice place to go for either a business dinner or more intimate meal with partner. Menu is good, service was professional and friendly, prices - as to be expected at such a restaurant, not cheap but not over priced. food was good, there was a mix up over one of the orders, but staff were apologetic. Would certainly go back

Went here for the last night of out holidays and we were not disappointed. The steak was fantastic and they were all cooked exactly how we wanted them. Plenty of space to sit outside in a nice area of the town.

This lovely restaurant is off the main tourist beat and mainly frequented by locals. The food is good-I had a lovely spinach cannelloni and my partner a good steak. The house red was lovely. Nice ambience, although the staff were flat out on a Friday night.

Located on the central square of this peaceful town, in a old buildingWith a nice internal design, we had a table by the side and resturant was quite full. Started of with a mix of cold cuts of smoked salmon, salmon tartar, makarel, eel and dutch shrimps, very big starter and well made. Then a big piece of cod baked in oven in a nice sauce for the main, which comes with a interesting sweet apple sauce on the side, vegetables and fries.Ended with a mix of different strawberries desserts.Had a good south african white wine with the fish. Starters cost from 10 to 14 euro, main was 22 euro and dessert about 8 euro. Friendly service, all in all a great dinner.

The young owner, Sjoerd, is a wonderful, attentive host. Caert served us the 4 course surprise menu. Every course was excellent. The quality of the ingredients was very good, with surprising combinations. The young cook did an excellent job. We also enjoyed the matching wines. It is possible to order half a glass. And last but not least: not expensive at all!

RATATOUILLE In our restaurant we like our guests to enjoy and have a good time together, whether they come together for each others companionship, and enjoy delicious drinks and relish, also with the dishes on the table that are shared, called "Sharing Di
Some of us might remember the Disney film of the same name and the play of words between Remy (the Rat) and Ratatouile (the one vegetable stirred up dish)where the rodent faces the challenge of becoming a chef, while pleasing the food critic , is memorable. This story has proved irresistible to restauranteurs and the Restaurant Ratatouille in Harderwijk,a Hanseatic Town in Holland,is one such manifestation. Located in the historic Vischmarkt square of the Oude Town, the place is the brainchild of Wim Zwaart (Masterchef) and Tina Zwaart (Vinologist) and has undergone extensive redesign opening up spaces at different levels, affording views of the modern kitchens and providing various private seating arrangements. While Restaurant Ratatouille is open only for dinner and Sunday brunchthe extensive menu and wines draws clientele both far and near to its doors. The prices at this possibly the best restaurant in the area are high as befits the high standards set and no one is complaining. The tradition of Ratatouille is in good hands.

To finish our midweek short trip in Gelderland we chose for De Basiliek because they has a nice offer with Heerlijk.nl.A 5 dish lunch which was enjoyed with an excellent Viognier. All dishes were something special. They first appearance is beautiful. The first taste is nothing special, but when you combine its ingredients it appears that the chef knows what he is doing. Complex taste and beautiful presentation is a trademark for this restaurant. Only point of criticism is that the portions are too small......but do not let you be withhold to go over here, because they may be small but are certainly outstanding at a very reasonable price .... as long as it lasts. ( eur. 39,50)
