Wide selection of creative and tasty dutch pancakes. Excelent food to price ratio for the Netherlands. During winter time you can wait for a table (it's often busy) in front of a cosy fire. OK for vegetarian.

We made a reservation at the Brasserie but when we walked in it was very quiet, but after an hour it was packed. Food is delicious, presentation is really nice. The waiters were very friendly and professional, except for one guy where you could see it was one of his first days, but he was learning fast. In a few days he will be part of the team.

At Vibes Foodbar we serve fine wines, Gin Tonics, burgers and other products from local cattle and lambs. These are chosen with care and stress free slaughtered by butcher Cor Boschma. Our artisanal ingredients are without added artificial fragrance, colo
We accidently came a cross this little "pearl" because all the other restaurants we planned to visit were fully booked. Lovely food, great service and nice atmosphere. We enjoyed it and will definatelly return. Thank you Tim.

On the spot where the schout (sheriff) ate with his companions, is now a characteristic restaurant. The modern kitchen provides a glimpse to the VOC history. The chefs use a range of spices from the East. Eating in the ât Schoutenhuys is a definite advent
The Het Schoutenhuys is located in an old historical building in the center of Den Burg. There are some menus a la carte, but the real attraction are the gerechies (little bits like the spanish Tapas or the Arabian Mezze). These are between 5 and 6 small dishes of local food, salad, some meat, fish and so on, all well made and really tasty, especially when accompanied by the matching wines. We were very glad with our visit in Het Schoutenhuys.Dear Ronald, thank you for you're kinds words. I'm happy to read that you're visit with us was so satisfying. Hope to see you again on Texel and in our restaurant.

As regular visitor of Texel, we sometimes do eat in the Smulpot, known to us as a reasonable priced restaurant, where you can have a decent meal. Our last visit was a deception: the gamba's were tastless and swimming in a layer of oil (1.5 cm depth). When the waitress asked it if we did like the food, we friendly told him that this was below expectations, This resulted in a remarkable reaction: "this is how we cook it, because this is how we like it." . Turning his back to us, and ignoring us the rest of the evening. This is unacceptable behaviour.

I visited this place more than 10 years ago amd remembered it well for it's great food. After all that time, when i was back on the island, i convinced the family to go here and we were not disappointed. This is tbe best place to eat on the entire island! The dishes they serve are superbly tasty amd the overall atmosphere here is nice and casual. A must go for anyone on the island!

Hip and trendy, for the best quality coffees and artisanal bread on the Island. For here, or to go! Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere inside, or the quiet sunny backgarden. Come to work (free WLAN)or to meet friends. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, High Lunch and dr
It's tucked away on a quieter street, but definitely worth seeking out. My mozzarella salad was wonderful, and not expensive; the coffee was great too. Nice friendly service. One point to note for non-Dutch tourists - they couldn't accept our credit cards (as they weren't issued in the Netherlands), so we paid cash, but they could not give us change, so we had to have roughly the right money for the meal plus tip.

Somewhat hidden in the backstreets of Den Burg on the island Texel you'll find this little hidden gem. Freshly made food, fantastic friendly personnel, a cosy interior. Sit down, order a tea or glass of wine and enjoy! Well recommended. Thx so much for these friendly words. After a winter closing of almost 2 months, it feels so good to meet our ''friends'' again. Spread the word and follow us on Instagram. Most kind regards from #restaurantstraatjetexel Anita and Niek

We serve one menu of at least 4 courses (saturday starting at 5 courses) with only the ingredients that we really support. Our appetizers and dishes are inspired by the seasons, what the island offers us and vegetables have the leading role. The meat, fis
Whilst holidaying on Texel, we celebrated our wedding anniversary with our two boys (aged 9 and 13) by introducing them to fine din8ng in Kook Atelier. They were a little nervous beforehand, partly at the thought of experimenting with food and partly because we don't speak Dutch. As we entered the restaurant, any fears were quickly dispelled as our waitress greeted us in excellent English and went out of her way to make us all feel at home. We went for a six course 'surprise' menu, with added amuse bouches. We were not disappointed; every course was made from fresh, local produce and was presented with beauty, style and in one course humour (a delicious seafood dish served in a sardine tin!)The taste combinations were exquisite, with parsley sorbet, served with strawberries in multiple forms, a real surprise hit! The service was also exceptional, the waitress and chef going out of their way to ensure we all got the most out of our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a truly fine dining experience. Thank you. Thank you so much for this wonderfull review, hope to see you again!
