What we had to eat was not 'very fine dining', but the food was correct. Good place for lunch, near the beach. We were very pleased with the very friendly service. The restaurant is very child friendly. They provide paper and pens for kids to make drawings and a microwave is at the disposal of young parents to warm up baby dishes.

Venitien is beautifully situated on the seafront at Blankenberg, the staff were very attentive and provided great service. My husband had the sole fillets, I had Rack of Lamb, both meals were beautifully cooked and presented.

We went to eat lunch. The people taking the order were unfriendly and show their discontentment with what the client orders loudly. The other people bringing the orders are students and clearly more friendly. The food was extremely saucy. We thought first it was soup. The quality of the cooking is below level!Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us.Hopefully we can convince you a second time with our high-quality products & and strong team.Kind Regards,Le Grand café team.

You can find us in the center of the boulevard. On our unique , always heated terrace we serve you fresh fish and mussels,as well as meat on the grill and a variety of suggestions !!!
Went with a group of 14 friends for lunch . The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They managed to fit us all in despite not having booked a table . Menus were provided in English as well as Flemish .I had the scampi in garlic , served with side salad and fries . Although there were 6 of us on the table there were enough fries to easily feed another 4 people . The table we had looked out over the beach which was a really nice . Another of the group had pasta and another had the chicken salad . Everyone said that the portions were very large . Definitely recommend!thanks for your kind review !!gr lieven

We went to this trendy restaurant with our Belgium friends, they actually booked a table for us prior to our arrival in Belgium .The restaurant is very modern and trendy with just enough tables, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We all ordered the same starter which was a shrimp croquettes served with fresh salad and the local bread, it was so delicious. We all decided to have a variety of fresh fish served with various pasta's and vegetables and two very good bottles of white wine which went perfectly with the meal.We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the lovely staff who served us and the price was a plus, not too expensive, well worth the money we spent. Our friends already know this little jewel of a restaurant.Well done T, Sands staff and restaurant, we will certainly be visiting again and will spread the word about you.

We did see a nice website, a chef with Michelin star experience, nice dishes, ... we went with nice expectancy :-). But it was rather a disappointment ! Friendly service, nice restaurant, no problem. But a filet mignon with béarnaise sauce that is not fresh or self made ? A fish platter with sole filet as a frozen product, near the sea ? No, this is for me really not done. And this for a price that is rather high ... Honestly, there are really much better places to go at this level !!

We visit Belgium and Blankenberge every year for our holidays and always have to include a visit to this tearoom. The food and service are always exceptional and the staff are always incredibly friendly. If you get a chance try one of their waffels or pancakes - they are far nicer than the ones that you get in nearby Brugge and a lot nicer price too.
