For years I've ridden my motorcycle all over this country, coast to coast. When it's time to eat, I'm always on the lookout for a roadside diner. Unless there is no other choice, I avoid the chain restaurants like the plague. Nothing wrong with a McBurger, but when I'm on the road, I want something special, unique. That's pretty much the point of the whole thing. There's always a chance that things won't go so well, but surprisingly, it usually does. So, I love diners. I say this only so that you'll know that when I say a diner is something special, I'm speaking from a wealth of experience. Six Stars is something special. George, the owner, does his own cooking, and he takes pride in it. The burgers are great, hand made and not overcooked. Same with the french fries. They're big and meaty and not overdone. Breakfasts are the same; generous and done just right. The wait staff are personable, professional, and attentive. It's not fancy food, but good food done well. Serving sizes are generous and the prices seem too low for what you get. You can sit at a table, a booth, or up at the bar. The place isn't large, and can get crowded at breakfast and lunch time, and parking can be a little tight. A lot of young families come here, and a lot of retirees. which is always a good sign. But this place is what a diner should be. If all this sounds good, get here soon. George isn't getting any younger. As the owners age, good diners are closing all across the country. And when they're gone, they're gone forever. This is Americana. Eat up.

If you're looking for the real America, this place is it. Zorba's has been a Riverview institution for decades, and for very good reason. I've eaten here three times in the last week and for me, this is as good as it gets for diner food. The breakfasts safe fantastic. Eggs are aways cooked precisely as ordered, sunny side up are really runny and over easy has the perfect yolk. Thick, crunchy bacon, delicious sausage patties and filling home fries are all excellent. Also, their pancakes and French toast are great as well. For lunch, look no further than their classic coney dogs - with thick casing that gives a slight snap with each bite. Place is always filled with locals and the service staff is lovely. In summary, if you're looking for a hearty American breakfast or classic Downriver lunch, this is the spot.

Not totally bad, but certainly not good. There are far better diners and Coney Islands nearby. Eggs are rubbery and toast is cold. Wait service is nice but they have to serve below average food.
