My husband go there occasionally for a late breakfast or for lunch. The waitstaff is very attentive whether or not you are their customers. The soups, salads, and pies are excellent and perfect portions are served. The prices are very reasonable. I always feel at home when eating there and most of the time, I know someone else eating at another table.Mary Wright

Casual breakfast, lunch and Friday Fish Fry open 7 days a week in beautiful downtown Kellner. Terrific, hot, made from scratch foods. Call us for your catering events.
Congratulations to the owners of The Chat-R-Box, for moving into the new facility, just a short distance north of the original location. The parking lot has appeared busy for breakfasts and lunches, when passing through the area. We had a late breakfast here a few days ago, and were pleased with the on-going excellent food quality and friendly service. It's a bit noisier than the previous location, if there's a crowd. The catering part of this business is thriving, so the community salutes this business, with its success story. Keep up the excellent work!

I can't recommend this place enough. First, it's in a Quonset hut that's far older than I am (I grew up across the street). Second, the lunch lady dances around and sings. Wow! Third, the food is really excellent! I had the chicken fried steak special and a cup of chili. Start with the chili-- it's Wisconsin chili, more of a soup and has spaghetti in it. I loved it! The chicken fried steak was perfect, the gray good, and the mash was real potatoes, and the corn was quite fresh. Also comes with bread and butter, which I skipped, and cottage cheese, which was great. With ice tea that was $15. The décor is patriotic, with photos of soldiers from WWII to the present. Whatever your politics are, this is the real America.
