Les Wagons is located in the Lagerplatz industrial district. The actual café/restaurant sits near the main train lines and this old Uetliberg electric train consists of three main coaches, two for seating, dinning and their kitchen while the other seems to be storage and supplies. The cars and the seating platform all sit under a protective awning, so you are always protected from the elements. The staff was super friendly and invited me inside. During my visit, I had a nice cold beverage and chocolate dessert (it was just okay) for around 11CHF. Their menu consists of hot/cold beverages, soups, salads and other healthy or vegetarian options. They are open mornings and lunchtime (except Sundays) and have a special 4-course Thursday evening menu.It was nice to sit inside the old electric train and enjoy the atmosphere.

We enjoyed a meal for four here on a Saturday night. This restaurant feels a bit like a nice upscale french bistro. It is small and has a intimate feeling to it. We experienced excellent food and attentive, friendly service. Everything we had was tasty: herb crusted lamb, cordon bleau, fried fish, steak tartar. There is an extensive wine offering, it is quite difficult to choose. If you are in the area, this is worth a stop, it is tucked away in Winterthur, and a bit of a hidden gem!

We went him for my birthday dinner. The food was very tasty and incredibly good quality, however unfortunately the beautiful exterior of this building is not complemented by the inside. Quite pricey as well. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Been going to this place for years. Food good and very reasonable prices. Not many smiles some years ago. This has changed. I usually go for the less spicy curry ( usually red) or the tofu or vegetable dishes. Comes with excellent rice. One gets the drinks from the refrigerator oneself... not a common feature in Switzerland but fits here perfectly... Different cultures. We return again and again as family. The kids like chicken on a stick...every time!
