Love the owl Diner, classic staple in Lowell. They name all their omelettes after actual streets in Lowell. The Middlesex St. Omelette with kielbasa and onions and cheese is my favorite. If you are feeling especially gluttonous, get a grilled bagel with cream cheese instead of toast. Worth the up charge and the calories.

A cousin of mine comes here often, according to her Check-Ins on Facebook. My girlfriend and I decided to stop in and give it a try.The restaurant is kind of small and the tables are very close to one another so you really can't have a private conversation but you'll get over it. The inside wasn't remarkable.Whenever I see that a restaurant has hash on the menu I ask if it's real or from a can. I had the impression that I insulted the waitress when I asked by the look she gave me but she confirmed it was real.Indeed it was! It was good. Not the best I've had but pretty good. And a lot of it. I was pretty full but I ate it all. My girlfriend had maybe half of what she was served. It was a pretty hearty meal. Two eggs, hash, homefries, and an English muffin. For those of you that are gluten intolerant, they have several choices of bread to choices from if you want.It did seem to take a long time to get served. I would say that was the only downside.

While heading home from NH, we stopped at Rosie's Diner in North Chelmsford for a midmorning Sunday breakfast. We were lucky enough to sit right down at a booth as the parking lot was full. We loved the black and white tile and the 1950s look. The diner was nice and clean. Yes, it was busy, as a former waitress I was impressed with the waitstaffs' hustle. The food was delicious and my coffee mug was filled 3 times! My husband had eggs over easy with bacon and rye toast. I had oatmeal and a toasted blueberry muffin. Our waiter was a young man, he was attentive and accommodating. A very enjoyable breakfast!

Dream Diner used to be our weekend spot for brunch; the food was always good and service friendly. There are lines on weekends, but they generally move quickly. Dream Diner now only serves lunch Monday through Friday. Some of our group like breakfast and some prefer lunch, so, with no lunch on weekends, we will meet at a different diner.Thank you for giving us your feedback. Our weekend hours are now 7am-1pm which is an hour earlier than weekdays. With our new expanded seating, we decided to focus strictly on breakfast and allow the kitchen to focus on delivering quality food and serving our customers in a timely manner. Come see us Mon-Fri and enjoy one of our signature meatloaf dinners or Fresh Turkey dinner.

Forge Village Breakfast is clearly a local's place that serves a better-than-average breakfast and provides outstanding service but there are areas for improvement that could bring this to a 5 star. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean in a rustic, locals setting. Nothing special but lots of potential. The tables and chairs are basic but comfortable. The layout is a little weird: poles blocking the dining area where back tables are really dark vs open area with consistent lighting, The kitchen fridge and freezer are on the opposite side of the room from kitchen area in the middle of the customer area. The place is not really "decorated" well: cheap paneling, messy (not dirty) counter space, cool historic pictures/stories on the wall in really cheap frames. Parking is actually across the street. I parked NEXT to the restaurant, then when I came in I was asked to move. Please add a sign or something. Service: Fast, friendly, attentive, and open. The waitress was GREAT! I had a question about my omelet and the grill guy came right out to chat about it. The OTHER waitress came over as well to chat about "who do ya' know" and going to school in Westford 30-40 years ago. What a "Locals" experience. It was a hoot. And my husband who grew up in Westford loved it!Food: The crepe-style omelet made on the grill was yummy! Plenty of bacon and cheese filling, steaming hot and flavorful. Home fries good 'nuf. Grilled english muffin was PERFECT. My husband's eggs benedict were also good, flavorful, plenty of sauce and fillings. The pre-shaped hash browns were a disappointment. All food was served on disposible plates, plasticware, and paper cups. For full service restaurant, this was just tacky. It felt more like a church/community breakfast and just did not work. For the eggs benedict, the sauce was absorbed into the paper plate creating a bit of a soggy mess. A real easy "fix" is just use real plates, etc. Prices: Good given the food quality and quantity.
Reasonable prices and a basic diner menu. Friendly, quick service. Food quality is good. They now make their own breads and muffins with creative pairings of flavors.

As someone with celiac disease, I pretty much assume most breakfast places wonât accommodate my dietary restrictions. Was pleasantly surprised when I ordered an omelette and they offered me gluten free toast. And the waitress was knowledgeable and warned me not to have the home fries as the seasoning has gluten. Very good meal, didnât get sick from cross contamination.
