Lucille's Roadhouse

We were told to seat ourselves. Pretty nostalgic decor which I did enjoy. Many businesses in this area use the "Route 66" theme and they were no exception. We were waited on immediately and our order arrived soon. Both the wifes and mine were tasty and cooked to order. I would recommend this restaurant!

Downtown Diner

The Downtown Diner (and Weatherford in general) are a throwback to the old days of the busy downtown area of a smaller town. I stopped there for lunch on my way to OKC airport during a recent business trip. The service was very good, attentive without being smothering. The menu was a bit limited for the type of restaurant it was, but the food was good (I had a grilled chicken sandwich and fries). The peanut butter pie for dessert was very tasty. They even made sure they offered me an iced tea for the road, which was a nice touch. The place was pretty busy with the local crowd, and I can understand why.
