We had lunch here and it was nice. The food was good - service was fast and friendly. The price was great. Parking was on-sight and free. The building is wheelchair accessible. It was nice. There is nothing spectacular about this place - absolutely nothing bad about this place - it's a nice diner. We'll go again the next time we're in Watkins Glen.

If you want to go to a dozen wineries and not have that tipsy or sick feeling after, go on a full stomach... and there is no place better for breakfast than Classic Chef's down the road (between Watkins Glen and Montour Falls on Rt. 14). Even if you don't go winery hopping and you just want a filling, delicious, inexpensive breakfast, your best bet is to go to Classic Chef's.

My wife and I recently enjoyed breakfast here while visiting the Finger Lakes area for the weekend. It was getting late almost 11am on a recent Saturday when we arrived and I was afraid breakfast would be over, but fortunately not. We both enjoyed eggs and bacon with toast and home fries. Very filling meal. It is a local establishment, nothing fancy, very clean, its the kind of place your happy you tried. Service was very pleasant and quick. Overall our meal was very nice. If your in the Watkins Glen, Montour Falls area and hungry, stop in.

A local community cafe serving simple and delicious breakfast and lunch along with fresh juice, smoothies, and ice cream (in the summer).
Itâs a storefront on the main street, and we thought the breakfast eggs and omelette were very good, with friendly service and reasonable prices. The interesting concept is that you can donate to Community Meals ($8 each) and they provide free meals to people who need help. The cafe is a community meeting place, and this is a creative way to support others. The cafe is a few blocks from the falls and the historic district, both worth a visit.

I have been going to races at Watkins Glen since 1970 and Chefs was frequently our first choice for breakfast. A couple years ago it became average so I stopped going. I tried it again this past weekend, September 11, 2016 and it wasn't good. The water and coffee were awful. There is a problem there somewhere. I got a ham and cheese omelette with home fries and white toast. The toast was cold and both the omelette and home fries were average at best. There was very little cheese in the omelette and home fries burned and mushy at the same time. However, the price for 2 full breakfasts with coffee was under $20 so price is very good. If you don't want water or coffee and just average is ok then you may be fine here.
